development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated manufacturing systems of technology, knowledge of the needed equipment, people and materials. Industrial engineering includes studying the principles and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis, as well as operations management, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering or manufacturing systems engineering;
- problem solving skills required in developing up-to-date knowledge and procedures and skills in integrating knowledge from fields of manufacturing engineering and management, the ability to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources. The graduates must also be capable of demonstrating how to integrate management systems into a series of different technological environments
- an understanding of how the relationships work between the tasks of planning, organization, leadership, control, and the human element in production, research, and service organizations;
- to provide the prerequisite for obtaining the professional degree of Mechanical Engineer.

as well as economics, and are able to implement them in developing technical systems and solving economic problems (including product planning, system analysis and synthesis, as well as applying methods of simulation and information technology);
- knows scientific and engineering methods concerning product development, production systems and their components (production processes, devices, tools, work environment etc.) in solving problems and tasks, considering economic, juridical, ethical, environmental limits, knows theoretical patterns of their specialty, actual problems and implementation possibilities;
- can evaluate and analyse field related problems to guarantee competitive advantages in production planning, solving development strategy and production management problems; can analyse micro- and macroeconomic indicators, apply economic methods in related fields;
- knows management conceptions and can apply them in market situation while planning, organizing, managing and controlling a small enterprise;
- is able to define the most important economic definitions, can identify the main economic-theoretical (development economy) conceptions, and explain the conception of technological-economic paradigm;
- can financially draft a business plan.

In order to obtain Cum Laude diploma the graduation paper must be defended for the grade "5" and the weighted average grade must be at least 4,60, where all grades from diploma supplement are taken into account.
