Õppeaine eesmärk on:
- süsteemselt analüüsida ja lahendada reaalelulist probleemi, mis hõlmab erinevaid valdkondi;
- arendada läbi meeskondliku ja iseseisva töö ülekantavaid pädevusi (enesejuhtimis- ja koostööoskus, IKT ja uusmeedia kirjaoskus, loov mõtlemine jm), mis aitavad kinnistada erialateadmisi ja -oskusi ning neid eri kontekstides paindlikult ja eesmärgipäraselt rakendada.

The aim of this course is to:
- systematically analyse and solve a multidisciplinary real-life problem;
- develop transferable skills (self-management and cooperation skills, ICT and new media literacy skills, creative thinking, etc.) through team and independent work that help to consolidate professional knowledge and skills and to apply them flexibly and purposefully in different contexts.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- kasutab oma õpitud teoreetilisi teadmisi ja praktilisi oskusi reaalelulise ning eri valdkondi siduva probleemi lahendamise / projekti situatsioonis;
- on võimeline töötama meeskonnas ühise eesmärgi nimel;
- juhib oma tegevust ise (nii üksi kui ka ühiselt), nii et see aitaks kaasa probleemi lahendamisele / projekti elluviimisele kokkulepitud formaadis/raamistikus;
- analüüsib probleemi lahendamise protsessi / projekti edenemist ja selle tulemuslikkust, hinnates oma tegevusi kriitiliselt ning kavandades parendusmeetmeid;
- esitleb probleemi lahendamise / projekti tulemusi;
- mõistab nii meeskondliku kui ka individuaalse töö tähtsust probleemi lahendamise / projekti kontekstis.

On completion of the course, the student:
- uses the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in solving a multidisciplinary real-life problem / project situation;
- is able to work in a team toward a common goal;
- manages his/her activities (both individually and in a team) so that it contributes towards solving a problem / implementation of a project in the agreed format/framework;
- analyses the problem-solving process / progress in implementing the project and effectiveness of the project, carrying out critical analysis of his/her actions and planning measures for improvement;
- presents the results of the problem-solving process / project;
- understands the importance of both team and individual work in the context of problem solving/project implementation.

Lähtuvalt konkreetse(te) õppekava(de) spetsiifikast, tööandja ja/või ühiskonna vajadustest lahendavad õppijad meeskonnatöö ja iseseisva töö tulemusena eri valdkondi siduvat reaalelulist probleemi. Õppejõu- ja/või tööandja-poolse mentori juhendamisel lepitakse kokku probleemi lahendamise / projekti elluviimise eesmärkides, ajaraamistikus ja tegevustes. Õppijaid juhendatakse oma tegevust planeerima ja juhtima nii, et see aitaks kaasa probleemi lahendamisele / projekti elluviimisele kokkulepitud formaadis. Õppijad esitlevad probleemi lahendamise / projekti tulemusi ja mõistavad meeskondliku ning individuaalse töö tähtsust probleemi lahendamise / projekti kontekstis.
brief description of the course in English
The students carry out team work and individual work to solve a multidisciplinary real-life problem depending on the specifics of (a) concrete study programme(s), the needs of the employer and/or society. Under the supervision of a lecturer and/or mentor, the objectives, time frame and activities to be carried out for solving a problem/implementation of a project are agreed. Students are supervised how to plan and manage their activities in a way that contributes to problem solving / project implementation in an agreed format. Students present the results of the problem-solving process / project and understand the importance of both team and individual work in the context of problem solving/project implementation.
