Aine eesmärk on:
- anda põhiteadmisi kompleksarvude, lineaarsete võrrandisüsteemide, maatriksite, determinantide ja vektorruumide teooriast;
- õpetada lahendama vaadeldud teoreetiliste küsimustega seotud ülesandeid;
- anda matemaatika tarkvarapaketi GeoGebra kasutamisest vektor-ja maatriksalgebra ülesannete lahendamisel ja vektor- ja maatriksalgebra ülesannete lahendamisest ning rakenduste loomisest tabelarvutuskeskkonnas MS Excel.

The aom of this course is to:
- provide basic knowledge of complex numbers, linear systems of equations, matrices, theory of determinants and vector spaces;
- teach to solve observable tasks related to theoretical issues;
- provide mathematics software package for using GeoGebra in solving vector and matrix algebra tasks and solving vector and matrix algebra tasks and creating applications for spreadsheet applications MS Excel.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- tunneb lineaaralgebra kursuses esitatud põhimõisteid kompleksarvude, lineaarsete võrrandisüsteemide, maatriksite, determinantide ja vektorruumide teooriast;
- lahendab kompleksarvu ja maatriksalgebra põhiülesandeid, leiab determinandi väärtust ja lahendab lineaarvõrrandisüsteeme erinevate meetoditega;
- leiab vektoralgebra põhisuuruseid ja rakendab neid ülesannete lahendamisel;
- kasutab matemaatika tarkvarapaketti GeoGebra lineaaralgebra ülesannete lahendamiseks;
- lahendab lineaaralgebra ülesanded ja koostab lihtsamaid rakendusi ning funktsioone tabelarvutuskeskkonnas Excel.

After completing this course, the student:
- is familiar with the basic concepts of complex numbers presented in the linear algebra course, knows the theory of linear systems of equations, matrices, determinants and vector spaces;
- solves the basic functions of complex numbers and matrix algebra, finds determinant value and solve linear equation systems with different methods;
- finds basic quantities of vector algebra and applies them to solving tasks;
- uses the mathematics software package GeoGebra to solve linear algebra tasks;
- solves linear algebra problems and prepares the simplest applications and functions in the spreadsheet environment Excel.

Iseseisva töö orienteeruvaks mahuks eeldatakse 45-50 tundi. Sellest 15-17 tundi (ca 1 tund nädalas) on mõeldud aine teoreetilise osa iseseisvaks läbitöötamiseks, 30-33 tundi (ca 2 tundi nädalas) harjutusülesannete lahendamiseks. Semestri jooksul tuleb sooritada kontrolltööd ja kodutööd. Kodu- ja kontrolltööde arvu ja eksami läbiviimise vormi määrab õppejõud semestri alguses.
independent study in English
Independent work involves approximately 45-50 hours, among which 15-17 hours (ca 1 hour per week) are meant for the additional work on the theoretical part of the subject, 30-33 hours (ca 2.0 hours per week) for independent task solving. The students have to submit tests and home tasks during the semester. The number of hometasks and quizes as well as examination prerequisites and form is defined by the course instructor at the beginning of the semester.
