VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Õppeaine eesmärk on:
- anda ülevaade kohalikest, kestlikest, taastuvatest, keskkonnasõbralikest, ringsetest ehitusmaterjalidest ning nende rakendamisest kaasaegses ehituses;
- tutvustada peamiselt savipõhiste ning orgaaniliste materjalide kasutamise võimalusi ja praktilisi rakendusi läbi käelise tegevuse materjaliga töötamisel.
course aims in English
The aim of this course is to:
- provide an overview of local, sustainable, renewable, environmentally friendly, and circular building materials and their application in modern construction;
- introduce the possibilities and practical applications of mainly clay-based and organic materials through hands-on activities involving working with the materials.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- tunneb ära looduslikke ja ringse kasutusvõimalusega ehitusmaterjale, nende omadusi ning neile esitatavaid nõudeid;
- seostab teoreetilist teadmist praktiliste katsetega;
- hindab vaadeldud materjalide sobivust erinevates konstruktsioonides ja tarindites;
- teostab katseandmete statistilise analüüsi huvipakkuva parameetri määramiseks soovitud usaldusnivool;
- kasutab saadud kogemust edaspidi materjaliarenduses ning väikse- ja suureskaalalises prototüüpimises.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
After completing this course the student:
- recognizes natural and circular building materials, their properties, and the requirements they must meet;
- connects theoretical knowledge with practical experiments;
- evaluates the suitability of observed materials for different structures and building envelopes;
- performs statistical analysis of test data to determine a parameter of interest at a desired credibility level;
- applies the acquired experience in future material development and in both small- and large-scale prototyping.
brief description of the course in Estonian
Õppeaine koosneb neljast peamisest osast (sissejuhatus, (toor)savipõhised ehitusmaterjalid, biopõhised ehitusmaterjalid, Eesti toorainel ja ringsetel materjalidel põhinevad lahendused), mis jaguneb harjutusteks ning rühmatööna teostavateks praktikumiks, järgides CDIO põhimõtteid.
brief description of the course in English
The course consists of four main parts (introduction, clay-based construction materials, bio-based construction materials, and solutions based on Estonian raw materials and circular materials), which are divided into exercises and group-based practical workshops, following the principles of CDIO.
type of assessment in Estonian
