Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane on omandanud põhiteadmised telekommunikatsioonitehnoloogia matemaatilistest alustest ja rakendab neid praktiliste ülesannete lahendamisel:
- valdab matemaatilist baasi;
- analüüsib filtrite ülekandefunktsiooni;
- kasutab signaalide lähendamiseks erinevaid funktsioone;
- kasutab iseseisvalt matemaatilisi meetodeid erialaste probleemide lahendamiseks.

After completing this course, the student has basic knowledge of the mathematical foundations of communication technologies and can apply this knowledge to solve practical problems:
- has basic knowledge in engineering mathematics;
- analyses the transfer function of the filters
- chooses and uses different functions to approximate signal;
- independently uses mathematical methods in solving engineering problems.
