Õppeaine eesmärgid on:
- luua üliõpilasele võimalused põhiteadmiste omandamiseks ruumiandmete analüüsi põhimõtetest, ülesehitusest, rakendatavusest merendusega seotud valdkondades, ruumiandmete töötlemise ja visualiseerimise meetoditest, 3D andmete kogumise viisidest, kasutades nüüdisaegset tarkvara;
- võimaldada üliõpilasel omandada baasteadmisi Python programmeerimiskeele kasutamisest ruumiandmete analüüsiks.

The aim of this course is to:
- provide basic knowledge of the principles of spatial data analysis, structure, applicability in maritime fields, methods of spatial data processing and visualization, 3D data collection methods using modern software;
- provide an opportunity to learn programming in Python for spatial data analysis.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- teab geoinfosüsteemide ülesehitust, andmete kogumise, analüüsi ja töötlemise meetodeid ning oskab teha ruumiandmete analüüsi ArcGIS PRO tarkvara abil;
- arutleb geoinfosüsteemide oluliste probleemide üle;
- kasutab Dron2Map tarkvara 3D andmete töötlemiseks ja visualiseerimiseks;
- kasutab Python programmeerimiskeelt ruumiandmete analüüsiks.

After completing this course the student:
- knows the structure of geographic information systems, methods of data collection, analysis and processing and is able to perform analysis of spatial data using ArcGIS PRO software;
- discusses important problems of GIS;
- uses Dron2Map software to process and visualize 3D data;
- uses Python programming language for spatial data analysis.

Merenduses kasutatavate ruumiandmete olemus. Geoinformaatika ja GIS mõisted, GIS funktsioonid, ülesanded ja kasutusvaldkonnad. Kaardiandmetega töötamine kasutades ArcGIS PRO tarkvara. Merenduse ruumiandmete töötlemine Python programmeerimiskeele abil, ruumiliste seoste analüüs.
