Õppeaine eesmärk on anda „Laeva jõu-seadmete“ erila õppijatele teadmised külmatehnika alustest, tehiskülma saamise meetoditest, külmutusseadmetes toimuvate ringprotsesside olemustest, külmutustehnikas kasutavatest töökehadest (külmutus-agensitest) külmakandjatest ning nendega seotud ohutustehnika ning keskkonnaohutuse nõuetest.

An historic overview and methods of getting of an artificial cold. The thermodynamic cycles of refrigeration plants. The construction of refrigeration plants, main components of compressor refrigeration plant. Log p/h, H/S and T/S diagrams. Refrigerants and and their enviromental impact.

Õppija peab teadma: tehiskülma arengu kulgu ja kasutusala; laevades ja maismaal kasutatavate külmutusseadmete eripära; tehiskülma saamise erinevaid meetodeid; tehiskülma soojusfüüsikalisi aluseid; soojusvahetuse põhialuseid; külmutus-seadmetes kasutatavate töökehade – külmutusagensite füüsikalisi, keemilisi ja füsioloogilisi omadusi; nende käsitlemisega seotud ohutustehnilisi ja keskkonnaohutuse nõudeid; külmutussüsteemi lekke kontrolli nõudeid, selleks kasutatavaid meetodeid ja seadmeid; külmakandjate omadusi, nende käitlemisega seotud ohutustehnilisi ja keskkonnaohutuse nõudeid; külmutus-seadmetes toimuvate termodünaamiliste ringprotsesside kulgu.
Õppija peab oskama: koostada külmutus-seadmete skeeme; kasutada skeemide koostamisel rahvusvahelisi külmaskeemide tingmärke; lugeda ja kommenteerida külmutusseadmete tööskeeme; kasutada külmutusseadmete termodünaamiliste ring-protsesside analüüsimiseks T-s ja logp-h diagramme; arvutada ülekantavate soojus-hulkade kogust; kasutada külmaagensi lekke kontrollseadmeid.

The learner must know : artificial frost developing the course and scope , ships and land-based refrigeration specificities of artificial cold for a variety of techniques , artificial cold thermo foundations of the heat exchange between the fundamentals of refrigeration equipment used in the work piece - refrigerants, physical, chemical and physiological characteristics of those involved in handling technical safety and environmental requirements of the refrigeration leak inspection requirements , methods and equipment used for this purpose ; cold media properties associated with the handling of their technical safety and environmental requirements of refrigeration equipment occurring processes in a thermodynamic cycle .
The learner must be able to: prepare refrigeration equipment diagrams , schedules used in preparing the international Cold schemes, symbols , read and comment on the refrigeration diagram , used in refrigeration thermodynamic cycle processes to analyze the T-s and Log p-h charts , calculate transferred to a heat -sets the amount , use the refrigerant leakage control devices.

Sissejuhatus ainesse – lühiülevaade tehiskülma arengust, suundadest, kasutusalast, laeva ja maismaa külmseadmete eripärast, mereregistrite nõuetest laeva külmutusseadmetele. Tehiskülma saamise meetodid - jahutamine gaaside pihkamisel (külmutus-konteinerid lämmastiku- või süsihappe-gaasijahutusega); jahutusefekt gaaside paisumisel (õhk-külmutusseade), drosseldamisel; jahutamine keeristoruga; termo-elektriline külmutusseade; absorptsioon külmutusseade. Nende ehituslikud iseärasused ja töö põhimõtted.
Aurukompressor-külmutusseadmete koosnevus, töö põhimõte, neis toimuvate termodünaamiliste ringprotsesside kajas-tamine ja analüüs T-s või Log p-h diagrammil; jahutusteguri (COP) mõiste, seadme külmatootlikkuse mõiste. Külmutusagensid ja külmakandjad - ideaalse külmutusagensi mõiste; CFC-, HCFC-, HFC- ja HC-gaasid; loodushoid nende käsit-lemisel; rahvusvahelised meetmed osoonikihi kaitsmiseks; agensi lekkekontrolli nõuded; agensi lekke kontrollimiseks kasutatavad seadmed ja vahendid ja nende kasutamine.

Introduction to the subject - a brief overview of the evolution of artificial cold , directions , its use , marine and terrestrial characteristics of refrigeration equipment , marine ship registries requirements for refrigerating appliances . Methods for Artificial Cold - spraying cooling gas ( nitrogen freezer containers or carbonic - AGR ) ; cooling effect on expansion of gases (air , refrigerator ) , throttling , vortex tube cooling , thermo - electric refrigerator , absorption refrigerator . Their structural characteristics and working principles .
Vapor - compressor refrigeration , consisting of work on the principle of taking place in a thermodynamic cycle processes Recognition and Analysis of T-s or Log p-h diagrams , the cooling performance (COP ) concept, the concept of productivity in the appliance cold . Refrigerants and refrigerant - the concept of an ideal refrigerant , CFC , HCFC , HFC and HC gases ; Conservancy of them are to be handled ; international measures to protect the ozone layer , the agent checking for leaks , leak testing equipment used and the agent resources and their use .
