Eesmärk on tutvustada küberturbe olemust ja põhimõisteid, anda ülevaade küberturvalisuse valdkonnast ning sellega seonduvatest riskidest nii laeva, organisatsiooni kui üksikisiku tasemel.

The aim of the course is to give an overview of cyber security in general and related threats to ships, organizations and individuals.

Kursuse lõpetamisel tudeng:
- saab aru turvalisuse kontseptsioonist;
- on kursis küberturbe põhiterminitega;
- on kursis laeva ja ettevõttega seotud peamiste küberriskide ja –ohtudega;
- on kursis merendussektori jaoks välja töötatud suunistega küberriskide maandamiseks;
- mõistab infoühiskonna peamisi ohte, põhjuseid ning infoturbe probleemide võimalikke tagajärgi;
- suudab rakendada küberhügieeni parimaid tavasid ning suudab selgitada neid ka teistele;
- on kursis küberturbe eetilise poolega.
