Anda teadmised ja oskused magnetkompassi teooria alustest vastavalt STCW -78 koos muudatustega osa AII/2 nõuetele.
course aims in English
Subject general objective is to create the conditions for the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the theory of magnetic compass mounts in accordance with STCW -78 as amended part AII / 2 requirements.

Üliõpilane
• teab magnetvälja karakteristikuid ja selgitab ferromagnetiliste ainete magneetumist;
• kasutab Poisson'i valemeid antud kursi ja magnetilise laiuse jaoks ja Poisson´i võrrandeid erinevat magnetkursside ja magnetlaiuste jaoks;
• eristab deviatsiooni liike ja selgitab poolringi deviatsiooni kompenseerimist Ayri meetodil;
• analüüsib ja kompenseerib Ayri meetodil poolringi deviatsiooni;
• saab aru ja kasutab jääkdeviatsiooni tabelit ja selgitab kallakdeviatsiooni tekkimist.
