magnetilistest nähtustest, põhitõdesid elektrimõõtmistest ja elektroonikast.

The general objective of the course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills of basic electrical engineering, theories on direct and alternating current circuits, electrical and magnetic phenomena, basics of electrical measurements and electronics.

1. Teab elektrotehnika terminaloogiat ja seadusi (sealhulgas Coulomb`i, Ohm`i, Kirchhoff``i, Joule-Lenz`i seadusi) ja oskab neid kasutada elektriahelate lahendamisel
2. Teab elektrotehnikas ja elektroonikas kasutatavaid tingmärke
3. Teab elektroonikakomponente (sealhulgas dioode, transistoreid, türistoreid) ja elektroonikalülitisi - operatsioonvõimendeid ja loogikalülitusi
4. Oskab koostada lihtsamaid elektriahelaid
5. Oskab mõõta elektrilisi ja mitteelektrilisi suurusi
6. Oskab õigesti kasutada elektrimõõteriistu, aparaate ja seadiseid.

1. The student knows the terminology and laws of electrical engineering (including Coulomb’s law, Ohm’s law, Kirchhoff’s law, Joule-Lenz’ law) and can use those in electrical circuit calculations.
2. He/she knows symbols used in electrical engineering and electronics.
3. He/she knows electronic components (including diodes, transistors, thyristors) and electronic switches: operational amplifiers and logic circuits.
4. He/she is able to construct simple electrical circuits.
5. He/she is able to take electrical and non-electrical measurements.
6. He/she is able to use electrical measurement instruments, equipment and devices correctly.

Elektrivool, pinge ja takistus. Alalisvooluahelad, elektromagnetism ja magnetahelad, ühefaasilised ja kolmefaasilised vahelduvvooluahelad, siirdenähtused elektriahelates, elektrimõõtmised ja -mõõteriistad. Elektroonika alused: pooljuhtdioodid, bipolaar- ja väljatransistorid, türistorid, fotoelektrilised seadised, alaldid, transistorvõimendid, operatsioonvõimendid, loogikaelemendid, trigerid, mikroprotsessorid, mikrokontrollerid.

Current, voltage and resistance. Direct current circuits. Electromagnetism and magnetic circuits. One-phase and three-phase alternating current circuits; transient phenomena in electrical circuits. Electrical measuring methods and measuring instruments.
Basic electronics: semiconductor diodes, bipolar and field transistors, thyristors, photoelectric devices, rectifiers, transistor amplifiers, operational amplifiers, logic elements, triggers, microprocessors, microcontrollers.
