Üliõpilane
- konseptualiseerib erinevaid teoreetilisi rakendusi rahvusvaheliste suhete ja diplomaatia valdkonnas;
- loob põhjuslikke seoseid erinevate ajaloosündmuste vahel;
- viib läbi juhendatud uurimistöö rahvusvahestest suhetest rakendades oma rahvusvahelist nägemust, kultuurilist arusaama ja kasutades diplomaatilisi vahendeid ja metoodikaid.

Students:
- conceptualizes different theoretical applications in the area of international relations as well as diplomatic practices;
- establishes causal connections between different historical events;
- conducts guided research on international relations, while applying international vision, cultural understanding and familiarity with diplomatic tools and techniques.

Rahvusvaheliste suhete teooriad (ajaloolises perspektiivis), analüüsimeetodid, diplomaatia, ajaloolised impeeriumid sõdades; Westfaali süsteem, Viini kongressi süsteem, teekond Teise maailmasõjani, rahvusvahelised suhted maailmasõdade vahel ja külma sõja järgsed rahvusvahelised suheted. Uus, vana ja avalik diplomaatia.

Theories of international relations (in historical perspective), methodology of analysis in the field, empires in wars, Westphalian system, Vienna congress system, way to the WWI, international relations between world wars and during WWII. Cold War and post-Cold War international relations. Old, new and public diplomacies.
