Anda ülevaade järgnevatest teemadest: enamlevinud andurid ja nende töö- ja rakendusprintsiibid, levinud ja vähemlevinud energiaallikate võimalused, elektrienergia salvestamise võimalused, kaasaegsete elektrienergia muundurite põhitüübid, meretehnikas kasutuses olevate hübriidajamite tööpõhimõte.

The course provides an overview of the followings topics: commonly used sensors, their functions and application in marine systems, standard and alternative energy sources, energy storage, power converters, marine hybrid propulsion systems.

Üliõpilane:
- teab eri andurite füüsikalisi toimimisprintsiipe, nende iseärasusi, rakendusvõimalusi ning signaali töötlemise aluseid;
- tunneb ja oskab kasutada põhilisi andurite rakendusi juhtimissüsteemides;
- tunneb keskkonnast elektrienergia saamise viise ja erinevaid energiamuundureid;
- teab elektrienergia salvestamise võimalusi.

Student:
- knows the physical working principles of various sensors, their peculiarities, applications and the basics of signal processing;
- is able to use common sensors in control system applications;
- knows the basics of electrical energy harvesting technologies and different power conversion solutions;
- knows means of storing electrical energy.

Andurid (temperatuuri-, niiskuse-, mahu-, kaalu-, asendi-, piesoelektrilised-, Hall’i-, optilised-, gaasi- jne andurid) - põhiprintsiibid, rakendusalad meretehnikas, signaalitöötlus. Andurite kalibreerimine.
Meid ümbritsev energia ja mittetraditsioonilised energiaallikad.
Energia muundamise ja salvestamise kaod süsteemis (energia allikad, muundurid, salvestid ja tarbijad). Elektrienergia salvestamine – akud ja superkondensaatorid. Hübriidajamid. Vahelduv-alaline (AC-DC), alaline-vahelduv (DC-AC) ja alaline-alaline (DC-DC) impulssmuundurid.
Rakendused seoses meretehnikaga.

Sensors (temperature, humidity, capacitive, weight, position, piezoelectric, Hall effect, optical, gas detection etc.) – basic principles, application in marine technology, signal processing. Sensor calibration.
Energy in the environment and alternative energy sources.
Energy conversion and transfer losses in a system (energy sources, converters, storage and consumers). Storing electrical energy – batteries and supercapacitors. Hybrid propulsion. AC-DC, DC-AC, DC-DC converters. Application in relation to marine technology.
