- Tutvustada tootmis- ja teeninduskorralduse aluseid, tootearendust, planeerimismeetodeid, kvaliteedijuhtimist, materjalivajaduse planeerimist, varude juhtimist, tootmistüüpe ja nende seost majandusnäitajatega.
- Arendada üliõpilastes tööalase tegevusega seotud mõtlemisvõimet.
- Anda ettekujutus meretehnika tootmise või väikelaevu ehitava ja remontiva ettevõtte töö korraldamiseks.
- Õpetada organiseerima oma ettevõtte tegevust ja planeerima ressursse ning motiveerima töötajaid.

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills required for organisation and control of production in maritme equipment management and small craft building and repair plant, for planning of slipway taking into consideration the specific material of manufacture. To teach students planning and organisation of work and resources, motivation and supervision of employees.

Üliõpilane:
- on omandanud teadmised ja oskused väikelaeva ehitava ja remontiva ettevõtte töö korraldamiseks;
- oskab planeerida ja organiseerida ettevõttes töötajate tegevust ja hallata ressursse
- oskab korraldada töötajate motiveerimist ja tegevuse kontrollimist.

Strateegilised ja taktikalised otsused tootmises. Väiksemahulise tootmisettevõtte olemus ja eripärad. Väikelaevaehituses otstarbest ja ehitusmaterjalist tulenevad eripärad ettevõtte planeerimisel. Tootmisliini üldine korraldus. Tootmisprotsessi eri osad. Sisse ostetavad teenused, need planeerimine. Tootmisettevõtte ruumilahendused, sisseseaded, ressursside (aeg, inimesed, finantsid) üldine planeerimine. Praktiline töö tootmisprotsessi planeerimiseks.

Concept and characteristics of a small craft manufacture, repair, maintenance and/or mould production enterprise. Planning of production depending on purpose and material of small craft. Organisation of operation of a slipway and a production line. Parts of production process. Outsourced services and their planning. Planning of working premises in a small craft production plant; equipment and fittings. General planning of resources (time, personnel, finances) in a small craft production plant. Storage of small craft models and moulds during summer and winter. Systems for small craft launching.
