- kasutab PLC programme redelloogikas;
- koostab PLC programme funktsionaalplokkidest;
- koostab PLC programme struktuurtekstis;
- koostab andurite ning täiturite ühendusi PLC süsteemiga;
- koostab lihtsaid PLC poolt juhitud süsteeme;
- koostab PLC süsteemides lihtsaid kommunikatsiooniahelaid.

After completing this course the student:
- uses PLC programs in ladder logic;
- develops PLC programs from function blocks;
- develops PLC programs in structured text;
- designs connections of sensors and actuators with the PLC system;
- designs simple PLC-controlled systems;
- designs simple communication circuits in PLC systems.

Programmeeritavad kontrollerid, nende arhitektuur ja tööpõhimõtted. Programmeerimiskeeled: funktsionaalblokid, redeldiagrammid ja käsustikud. Analoog ja digitaalsignaalid, matemaatika-, loogika- ja võrdlusoperatsioonid. Tagasiside. PID algoritm. Tarkvara loomise keskkonnad. Rakenduslikud süsteemid. Andmeside:RS232, RS485, Modbus, Ethernet. HMI.
Praktilised tööd: rakenduslike süsteemide loomine kontrollerite abil, nende programmeerimine.

Programmable logic controllers, their architecture and principles of operation. Programming languages: functional blocks, ladder diagrams and commands. Analog and digital signals, mathematical, logical and comparative operations. Feedback. PID algorithm. Programming environments. Applications. Communication: RS232, RS485, Modbus, Ethernet. HMI.
Practical exercises: designing systems with PLC applications and programming them.
