Anda üliõpilastele teadmised ja oskused väikelaevade kere ning süsteemide projekteerimiseks sõltuvalt lähteülesandest. Vastavate inseneriarvutuste ning koostejooniste teostamise harjutamine.

To equip students with knowledge and skills of small craft hull and installations’ design, as well as of the structure of the hull, deck, bulkheads, etc.

Üliõpilane:
- tunneb puidust, plastist ja metallist väikelaeva ehituse iseärasusi, oskab planeerida väikelaeva ehitamist sõltuvalt kerematerjalist;
- tunneb väikelaeva kere ja seadmete ehituse põhimõtteid, kerele rakenduvaid jõude ja vastujõude;
- oskab planeerida väikelaeva keret, vaheseinu, ja konstruktiivseid tugevduselemente;
- järgib standardeid ning protseduurireegleid.

A student:
- is able to plan the building process of small craft according to a specific building material;
- is familiar with the basic technological/ engineering principles and different ways of building a small craft hull; is able to organise production considering specifics of a vessel to be built;
- is familiar with and knows how to follow the maritime safety standards set for small craft; knows how to meet the quality standards and the procedures of production documentation.

Materjalidest sõltuvad tehnoloogilised lahendused väikelaevaehituses. Tootmise planeerimine, organiseerimine ning kvaliteedikontroll. Kere struktuuride kavandamine ja rakendused. Struktuuride omadused ja mõõtmed vastavalt ISO-standarditele, mereohutusreeglite järgimine. Tootedokumentatsiooni koostamine.
Laevateki tugevus ja turvanõuded ning erinevatele keretüüpidega sobivad tekikonstruktsioonid ja nende ühendamise viisid. Piki- ja ristsuunalised tugevduselemendid. Plastikust väikelaeva kere ja teki liitmis- ja moodulkonstruktsioonidega seotud mõisted, valmistamise tehnoloogiad ja põhilised vormikonstruktsioonid.

Technological solutions for small craft building. Planning, organisation and supervision of shipbuilding. Following of maritime safety standards set for small craft; quality assurance of small craft production. Production documentation. Building technologies for different small craft materials. Preparations for realisation of a construction project; building and assembly of the framework and hull. Longitudinal and transverse construction elements; manufacture and positioning of frames. Application of different hull reinforcement techniques.
