Projekti mõiste ja projektitsükkel. Strateegiline plaanimine loogilise maatriksi meetodil. Projektimeeskond ja kommunikatsioon. Aruandlus ja hindamine. Projektipõhine tegevus ettevõttes, projektide seotus ettevõtte arengustrateegiaga. Projektide rahastamisvõimalused. Õppetöö käigus koostatakse gruppides oma erialaga seotud väikeprojektid, arvestades konkreetse rahastamisallika tingimusi.

Concept of a project and project cycle. Strategic planning based on the Logical Framework method. Project team and communication. Reporting and evaluation. Project-based work in a business organization, projects as a part of company's development strategy. Raising money for projects. Teamwork: students work in small groups writing small projects connected with their field of study (terms set by a concrete supporter must be considered).

Arvestuse saamiseks tuleb esimeses loengus kokku lepitud tähtaegadel esitada järgmised tööd:
- referaat projektide rahastamisallikatest;
- grupitööna koostatud näidis-projektitaotlus;
- oma grupitöö tutvustamine (kaitsmine viimasel seminaril) ja teiste gruppide esitatud projektide oponeerimine.

For passing a preliminary examination (pass/fail assessment) a student is required to present by the deadlines set during Lecture 1 the following assignments/papers:
- a paper on sources of financing;
- application for financing a project (a group assignment);
- presentation of one’s group project at the final seminar and reviewing of other group projects.

Tutvuda:
- Riigi eelarvestrateegia ja EL struktuurivahendite planeerimine (valdkondlikud rakenduskavad ning planeeritud meetmed);
- Ettevõtluse Arendamise Sihtasutuse toetusskeemid;
- muud projektide rahastamisallikad.
Materjali põhjal tuleb koostada referaat, teemavaliku kinnitab õppejõud teises loengus.
Grupitööna koostatakse näidisprojekt: valitakse projektiidee ja sobiv rahastamisallikas, töötatakse iseseisvalt gruppides ja valmistatakse ette rahastaja nõuetele vastav projektitaotlus. Abiks loengumaterjal ja põhiõpikud.

Students have to read and study:
- the National Budget Strategy and strategy for planning EU structural aid (sectoral operational programmes and the proposed action);
- the support system of the Estonian Regional Development Agency of Enterprise Estonia
- materials on other sources of project support;
Based on the above materials, each student has to write a thematic paper the topics of which will be negotiated with the lecturer in Lecture 2.
As a group assignment student project teams will write simulation projects: they choose a project concept, find a potential source of financing and write an application for financing their project meeting the guidelines and regulations of their respective support scheme. Students can rely on the course textbooks and learning resources used during the course.
