Anda üliõpilastele süvendatud teadmised keemiaettevõtete üld- ja eriseadmetest, nende elementidest ja projekteerimise alustest; õpetada rakendama teoreetilisi teadmisi seadmete projekteerimisel; arendada üliõpilastes loomevõimet; luua interdistsiplinaarseid seoseid erialaainete vahel.

To provide deepened knowledge of general and special equipment of chemical enterprises, their units and basics of their design; to teach how to apply knowledge when designing the equipment; to develop student's creativity; to create interdisciplinary ties between specialized subjects.

Aine sooritanud üliõpilane: (1) tunneb keemiaseadmete valmistamisel kasutatavaid materjale; (2) tunneb keemiaettevõtete üld- ja eriseadmeid, nende elemente, seadmetes toimuvate protsesside olemust, seadmete ja nende elementide projekteerimise aluseid; (3) oskab põhjendatult valida aparaati ja selle elemente, arvestades aparaadis toimuvaid protsesse; (4) oskab teostada aparaatide ja nende elementide valikuga seotud lihtsamaid inseneriarvutusi; (5) oskab kasutada erialast kirjandust ning käsiraamatuid.

Student who has taken the course (1) knows materials used in chemical equipment manufacturing; (2) knows general and special equipment of chemical enterprises, their units, the nature of ongoing processes, basics of equipment and their units designing; (3) can well-foundly choose apparatus and its units taking into account ongoing processes in it; (4) is able to make engineering calculations concerning apparatuses and their units choosing; (5) can use specialized literature and handbooks.

Keemiaettevõtete seadmetele esitatavad nõuded. Keemiaettevõtete seadmete valmistamisel kasutatavad materjalid, nende valik. Keemiaettevõtete seadmete elemendid (korpus, põhi, kaas, äärik, alustugi, luuk jt), nende konstrueerimise alused. Rõhu all töötavad seadmed. Soojusvahetusaparaadid, nende tüübid, elemendid ja konstrueerimise alused. Kolonnaparaadid (taldrik-, täidiskolonnid), nende elemendid ja projekteerimise alused. Reaktorid. Toruahjud. Toorme ja valmistoodangu mahutite pargid. Laod. Torustikud, nende projekteerimine. Torustikuarmatuur: siibrid, ventiilid, kraanid, tagasilöögiklapid, kaitseklapid ja –membraanid jm.

Requirements for equipment of chemical enterprises. Materials used in chemical equipment manufacturing, their choosing. Units of the equipment of chemical enterprise (housing, bed, cover, flange, base support, shutter etc.), basics of their designing. Equipment working under pressure. Heat exchange apparatuses, their types, units and basics of designing. Columns (plate and packed columns), their units and basics of designing. Reactors. Tube furnaces. Parks of stocks and finished products containers. Storages. Pipelines, their designing. Pipelines armature: gate-valves, throttles, taps, back-pressure valves, release valves and membranes etc.
