Anda teoreetilised ja praktilised baasteadmised jooniste koostamiseks ja vormistamiseks projekteerimises ning arendada joonise lugemise oskust, mis on vajalik erialakursuse omandamiseks tehnilistel, tehnoloogilistel ja reaalerialadel; arendada ja süvendada ruumikujutlusvõimet ja graafilise modelleerimise oskust; süvendada mõtlemisoskuse ning inseneri loovuse arengut läbi objekti geomeetriliste vormide tundmaõppimise; kujutava geomeetria osatähtsuse väärtustamine inseneri praktilises kutsetöös.

To give theoretical and practical core knowledge about graphic design and develop the skills of reading drawings, which are needed for professions in technical-, technological- and science fields; to develop and deepen spatial imagination and graphic modelling skills; to develop critical thinking and engineering creativity through learning geometrical forms; valuing relative importance of descriptive geometry in engineer‘s practical vocation.

Kursuse läbinud üliõpilane teab ja mõistab kujutava geomeetria sisu, eesmärki ja rakendusi, projekteerimist ja projektsioonide liike ning nende rakendamist tehniliste jooniste koostamisel; oskab kasutada loogilist ja analüütilist mõtlemist ning süsteemset lähenemist ruumigeomeetriliste ülesannete lahendamisel kujutiste/jooniste abil; suudab vormistada ja lugeda jooniseid, tuletada ruumiobjektidest tasapinnalisi kujutisi; oskab kasutada ratsionaalseid töövõtteid graafiliste lahenduste teostamisel; oskab kasutada erialaseid teatmeteoseid ja õppekirjandust; oskab kasutada kujutavat geomeetriat inseneriteadustega seotud probleemide analüüsil ja iseseisva töö korral kirjandusega; oskab seostada kujutavat geomeetriat tootmise ja tehnika toimimise ja meid ümbritseva elukeskkonna nähtuste kirjeldamisel ja analüüsil.

By the end of the course the student knows and can understand plot of descriptive geometry, its aim and application fields, designing and classification of projections and their application in making technical drawings; can use logical and analytical thinking and systematic approach in solving spatial geometric tasks; can format and read drawings, derivate plane objects from spatial objects; can use rational working methods in graphic designing; can use specialized reference books and literature; can use descriptive geometry in analysing problems of engineering and working independently with literature; can link descriptive geometry with production operation and describing surrounding environment.

Kujutava geomeetria sisu ja eesmärk. Projekteerimine, projektsioonide liigid. Monge'i meetod. Punkti, sirge ja tasapinna käsitlus Monge'i meetodil. Kvooditud ristprojektsiooni meetod. Lisaprojektsioonide tuletamine ja kasutamine. Hulktahukad. Kõverjooned ja kõverpinnad. Kõverpindade lõikumised. Kõverpindade laotused. Aksonomeetria meetod. Aksonomeetria liigid. Aksonomeetria põhiteoreem. Seos moondetegurite vahel. Teljestiku ristprojektsiooni tuletamine. Koordinaatpindade paralleeltasanditel asetsevate ringjoonte kujutamine aksonomeetrias.

Subject and purpose of descriptive geometry. Projection, classification of projections. Method of Monge. Treatment of point, straight line and plane by the method of Monge. Orthogonal projection method with numerical value. Derivation and use of auxiliary projections. Polyhedrons. Curved lines and curved surfaces. Intersection of curved surfaces. Developments of curved surfaces. Method of axonometry. Classification of axonometry. Basic theorem of axonometry. Connection between coefficients of transformation. Derivation orthogonal projection of rectangular coordinate axes. Representation in axonometry circles, standing in parallel of coordinate surfaces.
