Omandada süsteemsed teadmised tõste- ja edastusmasinate liigitusest, erinevatest konstruktiivsest kujundusest ja neile esitatavatest nõuetest, mis tulenevad Eesti Vabariigis kehtestatud seadusandlusest. Luua üliõpilastel võimalus omandada tõste- ja edastusmasinate elementide valiku alused ja arvutusmetoodika.

The aim of the course ist to obtain systematic knowledge of the classification of hoisting and conveying machinery, of their different constructive design and requirements on the legislation of Republic of Estonia. To enable the students to obtain the basics of how to choose elements of hoisting and conveying machinery and learn the calculation methods.

Õppeaine läbimise tulemusena üliõpilane:
(1) omab süsteemseid teadmisi tõste- ja edastusmasinate liigitusest, neile esitatavatest nõuetest ja konstruktiivsest kujundusest;
(2) tunneb Eesti Vabariigis kehtivaid seadusi, mis reguleerivad tõste- ja edastusmasinatele esitatavaid nõudeid, ohutustingimusi ja hooldust;
(3) projekteerib iseseisvalt, vastavalt püstitatud ülesandele, tõste- ja edastusmasinaid ning nende elemente;
(4) analüüsib ja hindab projekteeritud masinate töövõimet, töökindlust ja ohutust masina kasutajale ja ümbritsevale keskkonnale.

After passing the course successfully, the student will:
(1) Have systematic knowlwdge of the classification of hoisting and conveying machinery, of their diferent constructive design and requirements;
(2) know the legislation of Republic Estonia regulating the requirements, saety conditions and servicing of hoisting and conveying machinery;
(3) Design independently, according to a set task, hoisting and conveying machinery and their elements;
(4) Analyze and assess the working capacity, reliability and safety of the machine for the operaator and for the surrounding environment.

Õppeaine õpetamisel käsitletakse järgmisi teemasid:
1.Tõste- ja edastusmasinate liigitus, konstruktiivne kujundus ja selle nõuded.
2.Tõste- ja edastusmasinate tööd ja hooldust reguleeriv Eesti Vabariigis kehtiv seadusandlus.
3.Tõste- ja edastusmasinate erinevad elemendid ja nende konstruktiivne kujundus, valiku- ja arvutusmetoodika ning nõuded kasutatavatele materjalidele.

During the course, the following topics will be covered:
1.Hoisting and conveying machinery, their classification, constructive design and requirements.
2.The legislation of Republic of Estonia regulating the work and servicing of hoisting and conveying machinery.
3.The different elements of hoisting and conveying machinery, their constructive design and methods of calculation and choice and requirements for the materials in use.
