Arendada noorte ettevõtlikkust ja ettevõtlusvalmidust. Anda ülevaade tänapäevastest prototüüpimise vahenditest ning õpetada prototüüpide modelleerimise ja valmistamise oskust. Anda praktilised juhised ning teadmisi erinevate prototüüpimisel kasutatavate seadmete kasutamisel. Võimaldada erinevatel seadmetel ja/või meetoditel valmistada prototüüpe oma idee rakendamiseks.

To develop initiative and readiness for enterprise of the young people. To give overview about modern means of prototyping as well as to teach the skills of prototypes modeling and manufacturing. To give practical instructions and knowledge for use of various equipment applied in prototyping. To enable to manufacture a prototype employing different equipment and/or methods in order to make use of own idea.

Aine läbinu teab erinevaid prototüüpimise tehnoloogiaid; oskab prototüübi valmistamiseks valida sobiva tehnoloogia ja seadme; oskab modelleerida lihtsamaid 2D ja 3D objekte; oskab oma poolt modelleeritu ette valmistada 3D printimiseks, laserlõikuseks, töötlemiseks arvjuhtimisega CNC tööpingil jm; omab elementaarseid teadmisi ja oskusi erinevate seadmete kasutamisel ja seadistamisel (3D printer, laserlõikur, CNC tööpingid, treipink, freespink, puurpink, painutuspink jne); oskab kasutada ja seadistada miniarvuteid Arduino ja Raspberry Pi; valmistab iseseisvalt ja/või meeskonnatööna prototüübi; õpib kasutama mikrokontrollereid ja neid programmeerima, et lisada oma prototüübile funktsionaalsust; oskab valida andureid ja neid seadistada; teab, mis on elektroonikakomponent ja oskab seda prototüüpimises kasutada.

After passing the course the student knows different technologies of prototyping; is able to choose proper technology and equipment for prototype manufacturing; can model simple 2D and 3D objects; can prepare his model for 3D printing, laser cutting, processing by CNC machine etc; acquires elementary knowledge and skills when using and setting up different equipment (3d printer, laser cutter, CNC machines, lathe, milling machine , drilling machine, bending machine, etc); can use and set up minicomputers Arduino and Raspberry Pi; prepares prototype independently and/or in a team; learns to employ microcontollers and carry out their programming to add functionality to his prototype; can choose sensors and to set them up; knows what is an electronic component and can use it in prototyping.

Tegemist on interdistsiplinaarset õpet sisalduva ainega. Projekt koostatakse meeskonnas, kuhu on kaasatud Tehnoloogiliste protsesside juhtimise, Rakendusinfotehnoloogia ja Tootmise automatiseerimise õppekavade üliõpilased. Ülevaade prototüüpimisest, selle kasutusvõimalustest, prototüüpimisel kasutatavatest erinevatest meetoditest, seadmetest, tarkvaradest jne. Prototüüpimise töövahendite tutvustus ja koolitus. Juhendajate käe all ja ka iseseisvalt eelnevates õpitubades saadud teadmiste kinnistamine ning rakendamine. Rühmatööd laborites vastavalt prototüübi ideele ja vajalikele seadmetele.

This is the subject involving interdisciplinary studies. The project is an example of a team work where the students of Technological Processes Management, Applied Information Technology and Industrial Automation curricula collaborate. Overview of prototyping, possibilities of its application, different methods, equipment, softwares etc used in prototyping. Acquaintance and training with working accessories. Fixing and applying of the knowldege got in the previous learning workshops under instructions of supervisors as well as independently. Teamworks in the laboratories according to the idea of a prototype and necessary equipment.
