Aine eesmärgiks on insenerimehaanika kursuses omandatud teadmiste rakendamine masinate korral; masinates kasutatavate mehhanismide (hammas-, nukk- jne) tundmaõppimine.

The main idea of the subject of Mechanics of Machines is to give theoretical and practical knowledge of kinematics and forces in mechanisms, gears geometry, cams and dynamics of machines.

Masinamehaanika sooritanud üliõpilane (1) teab masinates kasutatavaid põhilisi mehhanisme, sh varb-, hammas- ja nukkmehhanisme; saab aru masinates mõjuvatest jõududest, liikumisrežiimidest ja kasutegurit mõjutavatest põhilistest parameetritest, oskab teha lihtsamate mehhanismide struktuuri analüüsi ja sünteesi; (2) arvutab masinate liikumisrežiime iseloomustavaid põhilisi parameetreid; arvutab lihtsamates masinates mõjuvaid jõudusid, oskab hinnata rootorite disbalansi mõju; (3) oskab tasakaalustada ja balansseerida rootoreid; (4) oskab teha hammasülekannete põhilisi geomeetriaarvutusi.

After passing the course of Mechanics of Machines a student (1) has the knowledge of: mechanisms used in machines, such as linkages, gear and cam mechanisms; (2) understans forces that are present in machines, movement of machines and parameters that influence the efficiency of machines.; (3) must be able to perform analysis and synthesis of mechanisms; (4) calculates parameters of machine movement; calculates forces present in machines; calculate geometry of gears and cams.

Mehhanismide struktuur. Kinemaatilised paarid, lülid, ahelad. Ahela vabadusaste. Mehhanismide kinemaatika. Mehhanismide dünaamika ja kinetostaatiline arvutus. Dünaamiline mudel. Liikumisvõrrandi lahendamine. Wittebaueri diagramm. Käigu reguleerimine. Masinate tasakaalustamine ja balansseerimine. Hammasülekannete geomeetria. Silinderülekanded. Sünteesil esinevad piirangud. Kald- ja koonushammastega ülekanded. Tiguülekanne. Hammasmehhanismid. Nukkmehhanismid.

Structure of mechanisms. Kinematic pairs, linkages, chains. Degree of freedom. Kinematics of mechanisms. Dynamics of mechanisms and kinetostatic calculations. Dynamic model of machine. Solving the equation of motion. Irregularity of running. Wittenbauer´s diagram. Tuning of the run parameters. Equilibration and balancing of machines. Geometry of gear transmissions. Spur gears. Constraints. Helical and bevel gears. Worm gear. Gear trains. Cam mechanisms.

Kõik õpiväljundid: minimaalselt 51 punkti 100-st;
eksamieeldus: semestri jooksul tehtud Masinamehaanika-Projekti ja ning kolme laboratoorsete tööde arvestuse tulem on min. 51 punkti.
Eksamil on teooria ja 3 ülesannet.

Criteria before exam: collection of 51 points from Mechanics of machines - project and three laboratory works during a term. In exam: theory and three practical tasks.
