Anda algteadmisi programmeeritavate kontrollerite programmeerimisest; tutvuda algoritmplokkskeemide koostamisega ja nende tööpõhimõtetega, programmide struktuuriga. Anda ülevaade kontrolleritele esitatavatest üldistest nõuetest ning erialasest terminoloogiast, õpetada koostama ja analüüsima juhtimisskeeme.
course aims in English
To teach to acquire primary knowledge in programmable controller programmes. To acquaint with the algorithmic block diagramming and its working principles, to acquaint with the structure of the programmes; to teach to gain an overview of the requirements imposed to the controllers and of the subject terminology; to teach to draw and analyse control schemes.

Ainekursuse lõpus teab üliõpilane matemaatilise loogika põhimõisteid, definitsioone ja tingmärke; ülesannete lahendamise meetodeid; algoritmplokkskeemides kasutatavate elementide graafilisi tähiseid; programmide struktuure, tööpõhimõtet ja kasutusala; programmeerimise printsiipe; protsessijuhtimisprogrammi ehitust ja iseloomustust.

Student who has taken the course should know mathematical logic fundamental concept, definitions and graphical symbols; tasks' solution methods; graphical symbols of the elements used in algorithmic block diagrams; programmes' structure, working principle and application area; structure and feature of the control programmes.

Programmeerimise alused. Operandid. Käsurea struktuur. Andmetüübid ja vormingud. Käsustik. Loogikakäsud. Mälu programmeerimine. Taimeri programmeerimine. The structure of controllers. The electric scheme of controllers. Programming languages. The steps for working out control programs. Software menu. Project settings. Syntax control. Operands. Direct control, unconditional control, logic elements, the comparison of blocks. Memory programming. Timer programming. Increment and decrement counters. Program control instructions, interrupt instructions, instructions for the work with arrays and registers. Adjustment software. Generating and modelling of process control programs.

Iseseisva töö orienteeruvaks mahuks eeldatakse 32 tundi. Sellest 16 tundi on mõeldud aine teoreetilise osa iseseisvaks omandamiseks, 16 tundi praktiliste töö ettevalmistamiseks ja ülesannete lahendamiseks.
