Õppeaine eesmärk on ettevõtte juhile kasulike sissejuhatavate teadmiste ja oskuste omandamine seoses tarkvaratehnoloogiatega, sealhulgas vastava ülesande püstitamise, nõuete ja protsesside, infoturbe, hanke, arenduse, hindamise ja käigushoiuga.

The aim of this course is to acquiring introductory knowledge and skills related to software technologies useful to an enterprise manager, including task definition, requirements and processes, information security, procurement, development, evaluation and maintenance.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- seostab tarkvaratehnoloogiate peamisi mõisteid ning tulevikusuundi enda valitud organisatsiooni tegevustega, lähtudes strateegilise mõtteviisi
põhimõtetest;
- analüüsib tarkvara planeerimise, riskihalduse, hankimise, arendamise ja käigushoiu eesmärke organisatsiooni eesmärkide kontekstis ning põhjendab
nendevahelisi seoseid strateegilise mõtteviisi põhimõtetest lähtudes;
- kavandab tarkvaratehnoloogiatega seotud ülesande püstitamise, nõuete ja protsesside spetsifitseerimise, infoturbe halduse, hankimise, arendamise,
hindamise ja käigushoiu olulised tegevused ning põhjendab nende valikut tõenduspõhiste probleemilahendusmeetoditega;
- kavandab tarkvaratehnoloogial põhineva toote hankimise põhitegevusi, kujundades ühised eesmärgid, rollid ja vastutuse ning koordineerides tiimi
tööprotsessi.

After completing this course, the student:
- relates the main concepts and future trends of software technologies to the activities of an organisation selected by the student, based on the principles of strategic thinking;
- analyses the objectives of software planning, risk management, procurement, development, and operation in the context of organisational objectives and justifies the relationships between them based on the principles of strategic thinking;
- plans the essential activities related to the formulation of a software-technology-related task, specification of requirements and processes, information security management, procurement, development, evaluation, and operation, and justifies their selection using evidence-based problem-solving
methods;
- plans the main activities involved in procuring a software-technology-based product by establishing shared objectives, roles, and responsibilities and coordinating the team’s work process.
