Aine eesmärk on:
- anda ülevaade linna tänavavõrgu osadest ning nõuetest;
- tutvustada liiklusuuringute põhimõtteid;
- anda ülevaade transpordi viisidest, lähtudes multimodaalsusest, 15 minuti linn;
- anda ülevaade linnaliikluse mõjust keskkonnale.

The aim of this course is to:
- give an overview of the parts of the city's street network and the requirements;
- introduce the principles of traffic studies;
- provide an overview of the modes of transport based on multimodality, a 15-minute city;
- give an overview of the impact of urban traffic on the environment.

- selects appropriate measures to reduce the environmental impact of traffic in the urban environment;

Kursuse jooksul antakse üliõpilastele ülevaade liikumisviisidest, -mustritest ja taristust linnalises keskkonnas. Õpitakse liiklusloenduse põhimõtteid ja hinnatakse, kuidas aeg, ilmastik, rahvastiku koosseis ning muud välised faktorid mõjutavad liikluskoosseisu. Tutvustatakse multimodaalsust ja „15 minuti linna“ põhimõtet. Hinnatakse, millised keskkonna- ja terviseriskid linnaliiklusega kaasnevad ning kuidas neid vähendada nii legitiimsete kui ka insenertehniliste vahenditega.
brief description of the course in English
During the course, students will be given an overview of movement methods, patterns and infrastructure in an urban environment. The principles of traffic counting are learned and how time, weather, population composition and other external factors affect the traffic composition are assessed. Multimodality and the "15-minute city" principle are introduced. The risks to the environment and health associated with urban traffic are evaluated and how to reduce them with both legitimate and engineering means.
