Kursuse eesmärk on analüüsida õiguse ja tehnoloogia vahelist seost erinevatest aspektidest. Ainekursusel leiavad käsitlust järgnevad teemad – omandiõiguse olemus, uudne tehnoloogia ja selle õiguslik mõju, intellektuaalomandi õigus ja selle seos konkurentsiõigusega. Kursuse raames vaadeldakse teemasid ka kohtupraktikast lähtuvalt.

This course is an in-depth analysis of important aspects of law and technology. Topics include ownership rights, disruptive nature of technology, intellectual property rights and competition law. Due emphasis will be laid on appropriate case laws.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- rakendab teadmisi valdkonnast, mis hõlmab endas omandiõiguse ja uudse tehnoloogia olemust ning selle mõju õiguslikke aspekte, intellektuaalomandi õigust ja selle seost konkurentsiõigusega;
- selgitab tehnoloogia ja konkurentsiõiguse vahelisi seoseid ning seda, kuidas kaitsta tehnoloogiaga seotud omandiõigust.

- apply the knowledge about subjects covering ownership, disruptive nature of technology, intellectual property rights and competition law;
- explain the relation between law, technology and competition law, also how to protect technology related ownership rights.
