The aim of the course is to provide the students with a knowledge of the regulation of labour relations at the international level.

Kursuse edukalt läbinud üliõpilane:
- selgitab töösuhete rahvusvahelise reguleerimise ajaloolist arengut ning sotsiaalseid ja majanduslikke põhjuseid töösuhete reguleerimise poolt ja vastu rahvusvahelisel tasandil;
- analüüsib Rahvusvahelise Tööorganisatsiooni, EL ning Majandusliku Koostöö ja Arengu Organisatsiooni rolli töösuhete reguleerimisel ning nende organisatsioonide poolt töösuhete reguleerimise eesmärki, printsiipe ja täitmismehhanisme.

Students who have successfully completed this course:
- explain the history of the international regulation of labour standards and the social and economic arguments for and against the need to regulate labour relations at the international level;
- analyse the role played by the ILO, the EU and the OECD in regulating labour relations and the cope, underlying principles and enforcement mechanism underlying the international regulation of labour relations by those three institutions.

Rahvusvaheline Tööorganisatsioon, Ülemaailmne Kaubandusorganisatsioon ja Teenustekaubanduse üldleping, EL ühisturg, tööd puudutavad normid rahvusvahelistes lepingutes ning Majandusliku Koostöö ja Arengu Organisatsioon, Rahvusvahelise Valuutafondi ja Maailmapanga poolt kasutatavad meetmed. Osaliselt käsitletakse kursusel ka rahvusvaheliste töösuhete majanduslikku põhjendatust tuginedes osaliselt rahvusvahelise kaubandusteooria põhimõtetele.

ILO, WTO-GATS, EU Common Market Law, Labour clauses contained in international trade treaties as well as some stuff that has been implemented thought the OECD, IMF and World Bank. It will also have to touch on the economic rationale for (internationally) regulating labour relations which might require a little dip into international trade theory.
