- analüüsib õiguslikke lahendusi andmesubjekti eraelu kohta.

After successfully passing the subject the student:
- explains the principles of privacy and informational self-determination in the areas listed under objective of the subject;
- finds appropriate legal regulations belonging to the privacy, personal data protection and freedom of information and uses them in practice to resolve legal questions;
- analyses legal solutions resolving cases violating the privacy of the data subject.

Kursus annab üliõpilasele teadmised privaatsusõiguse ja informatsioonilise enesemääramise põhimõtetest. Selleks käsitletakse õiguslikust vaatepunktist lähtuvalt erinevaid seisukohti teemal, mis puudutavad eraelu ja informatsioonilist enesemääramist. Lisaks käsitletakse kursuse käigus teemaga seotud kaasusi, EL riikide järelevalve asutuste praktikat ja rahvusvaheliste koostööorganite seisukohti.
brief description of the course in English
Course provides students with the knowledge of principles of privacy and informational self determination. For this purpose, from the legal point of view different approaches to privacy and informational self determination are studied. Additionally, students will receive the knowledge of related case law, EU data protection authorities' approaches and the opinions of international cooperation bodies during the course.
