Kursuse eesmärk on anda tudengitele teadmised, arusaam ja oskused, mis on vajalikud teadmiste tõhusaks juhtimiseks organisatsioonides. Põhieesmärgid hõlmavad:
Teadmiste juhtimise põhimõtete mõistmist;
Teadmiste juhtimise analüüsimist nii välise (tööstuse/ühiskonna) kui ka sisemise (organisatsiooni) vaatenurga kaudu;
Erinevate teadmiste juhtimise lähenemisviiside uurimist, kasutades reaalseid näiteid ja juhtumiuuringuid;
Suhte rõhutamist teadmiste juhtimise ja innovatsiooni juhtimise vahel;
Tudengite tutvustamist asjakohaste juhtumiuuringute ja teadusartiklitega.

The course aims to equip students with the knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary to effectively manage knowledge in organisations.
Key objectives include:
Understanding the fundamental principles of knowledge management;
Analysing knowledge management from external (industry/society) and internal (organisation) perspectives;
Exploring diverse knowledge management approaches using real-world examples and cases;
Emphasising the relationship between knowledge management and innovation management;
Familiarising students with relevant case studies and research papers.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane oskab:
- määratleda organisatsioonilisi eeldusi ja tõkkeid, mis mõjutavad teadmiste juhtimist, ning hinnata nende mõju;
- kirjeldada teadmiste juhtimise praktilist rakendamist erinevates organisatsioonides;
- tuvastada mitmesuguseid teadmiste ülekande ja säilitamise meetodeid ja tööriistu, sh nende rakendamisega kaasnevaid väljakutseid;
- määratleda ja käsitleda teadmistega seotud riske, millega organisatsioonid kokku puutuvad;
- kirjeldada ja mõista keerulist seost teadmiste juhtimise ning innovatsiooni juhtimise vahel korporatsiooni, äri- või funktsionaalsel tasandil.

- identify and address knowledge risks that organisations encounter;
- describe and comprehend the intricate link between knowledge management and innovation management at corporate, business, or functional levels.

Erinevad ülemaailmsed tervise- ja julgeolekukriisid on toonud esile asjakohase ja ajakohase teabe ning teadmiste kriitilise tähtsuse teadlike otsuste tegemisel organisatsioonides. See kursus käsitleb põhjalikult teadmiste juhtimise põhimõisteid, keskendudes erinevatele väljakutsetele, nagu eelseisvad demograafilised muutused, kestlikkuse küsimused ja jätkuv digitaalne transformatsioon. Teadmisi nähakse olulise organisatsioonilise varana, mis võib aidata organisatsioonidel tõhusalt toime tulla nii praeguste kui ka tulevaste probleemidega. Samas võivad teadmised teatud juhtudel kaasa tuua ka riske. Kursus pakub terviklikku ülevaadet teadmistest ja nende haldamisest, avardades perspektiivi ja valmistades tulevasi juhte ette keerukate teadmiste strateegiate väljatöötamiseks ja rakendamiseks.
