The objective of this course is to provide hands-on experience in carrying out software projects. It should
help students putting theory into practice. After completing the course, student will be able to work in small
software development team as a team member or a project manager, write necessary documentation,
program and test software as well as make presentations.

Tarkvara arendustöö praktiline sooritamine rühmatööna.
Projekti koostamine annab õppijale ettekujutuse kaasaegsest tarkvara arenduse praktikast ja
infrastruktuurist, sealhulgas iteratiivsest arendusest, versiooni kontrollist, ühisplaneerimisest,
automaattestimisest ja pidevast integratsioonist. Õppijad koostavad tarkvara reaalsele kliendile
arvestades reaalseid nõudeid. Õppija ülesandeks on täpsustada nõudeid, luua plaan ja realiseerida
vastav tarkvara. Töö tulemusi kontrollitakse nii kursuse juhendajate kui ka klientide poolt. Kursus
koosneb loengutest, individuaalsetest konsultatsioonidest, meeskondade koosolekutest ja
meeskonnatööst.

In this course you will undertake a software development project in teams of four students. The project
will give you hands-on exposure to contemporary software development practices and infrastructure,
including rapid iterative development, version control, collaborative planning, issue tracking, test
automation and continuous integration. You will be delivering software to a real customer with real
requirements. Your task is to detail the requirements, create a plan and deliver accordingly. Your
deliverables will be verified and validated both by the course organisers and the customer who proposed
the project.
The course is delivered as a mixture of lectures, private consulting sessions with a mentor, team
meetings and collaborative work.
