Õppeaine eesmärgiks on toetada arusaama kujunemist kutsepedagoogika kui kasvatusteadusliku distsipliini filosoofilistest alustest, kutsepedagoogika erinevatest teaduslikest käsitlustest tänapäeval ning kutsekasvatusest.

The aim of the course is to support the development of understanding of the philosophical foundations of vocational education as a discipline of education, of the various scientific approaches to vocational education today and of vocational education.

Üliõpilane:
- analüüsib kutsepedagoogikat kui kasvatusteaduslikku distsipliini lähtuvalt selle filosoofilistest ja ajaloolistest aspektidest ning erinevatest teaduslikest käsitlustest;
- mõistab kutsepedagoogika teoreetilisi käsitlusi ja põhitermineid seostades neid koolitegelikkuse ja õpetatava erialavaldkonnaga;
- analüüsib väärtusi kutsehariduses seostades koolitegelikkusest ja teoreetilistest käsitlustest
- mõtestab oma kutseidentiteeti ning propageerib oma kutseala ja kutseõpet tuginedes kutsepedagoogika teoreetilistele alustele.

Student:
- Analyzes vocational education as a discipline of education from the philosophical and historical point of view and from a variety of scientific points of view;
- understands the theoretical approaches and key terms of VET by linking them to school reality and the discipline they teach;
- Analyzing values in VET, linking school reality and theoretical approaches
- Conceives his / her professional identity and promotes his / her profession and vocational training, drawing on the theoretical foundations of vocational pedagogy.

Kutsepedagoogika interdistsiplinaarse kasvatusteadusliku distsipliinina. Kutsepedagoogika filosoofilised alused: Pragmatism. Tööfilosoofia, töö, ameti ja elukutse tähendus. Väärtusfilosoofia, eetika ja esteetika kutsealal. Kutsekasvatus ja kutseidentiteedi kujunemine. Väärtused kutsehariduses, kutseõppeasutuse kui organisatsiooni kultuur, väärtused: töötervishoid ja –ohutus, keskkonnasäästlikkus ja ressursside säästlik kasutamine. Kutsepedagoogika erinevad käsitlused ja uurimisteemad, õppijakeskse kutsepedagoogika dimensioonid.

Vocational pedagogy as an interdisciplinary discipline of education. Philosophical Foundations of Vocational Education: Pragmatism. Meaning of work philosophy, job, profession and profession. Value philosophy, ethics and aesthetics in the profession. Vocational education and formation of professional identity. Values in VET, culture of VET institution as an organization, values: occupational health and safety, environmental sustainability and sustainable use of resources. Different approaches and research topics in VET, dimensions of learner-centered VET.
