Magistriseminari eesmärk on:
- õpetada akadeemilise (ja tehnilise) kirjutamise ning suulise ja kirjaliku eneseväljendamise aluseid;
- abistada üliõpilasi uurimistöö läbiviimisel ja magistritöö kirjutamisel;
- anda võimalus oma tulemuste esitlemiseks ja tagasiside saamiseks;
- kirjutada valmis esimene versioon magistritööst.

The aim of the master's seminar is to:
- teach the foundations of academic (and technical) writing, the foundations of oral and written expression;
- assist students with carrying out their research and writing the master’s thesis;
- provide an opportunity for presenting their results and getting feedback;
- write up the 1st version of the master's thesis.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- viib läbi uurimistöö, rakendades selgelt defineeritud asjakohast uurimismeetodit;
- valib lahenduste väljatöötamisel selged kriteeriumid ja rakendab neid;
- oskab teiste tehnilist tööd retsenseerida ja pakkuda konstruktiivset tagasisidet;
- oskab viia läbi uurimistööd ja seda nõuetekohaselt vormistada;
- esitleb oma tulemusi selgelt ja arusaadavalt;
- on kirjutanud valmis oma magistritöö esimese versiooni.

- provides constructive feedback to technical writing by reviewing problem statements developed by other students;

Seminari raames kirjutavad osalejad valmis esimese versiooni oma magistritööst ning esitavad tulemusi kaasüliõpilastele ja õppejõududele. Töö ülesehitusele ja esitatud tulemustele antakse tagasisidet, kuidas magistritööd paremaks muuta.

Within the course the participants will write up the first draft of their master's thesis document and present the results to their fellow students and teaching staff. Feedback will be provided to the structure of the work, results and presentation.
