Õppeaine eesmärk on luua eeldused bakalaureusetöö kava väljatöötamiseks ning töö teemaga seotud teaduskirjanduse süstemaatiliseks analüüsiks. Õppeaine toetab bakalaureusetöö algse versiooni koostamist, uurimistulemuste suulist esitamist ning tagasiside saamist töö ülesehituse, analüüsi, tulemuste ja nende esituse kohta.

The aim of this course is to create the prerequisites for developing a bachelor’s thesis plan and for the systematic analysis of scientific literature related to the thesis topic.
The course supports the preparation of an initial version of the bachelor’s thesis, the oral presentation of research results, and receiving feedback on the structure, analysis, results, and their presentation.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- rakendab kirjalike tööde koostamise reegleid, lähtudes teaduskonna bakalaureusetöö juhendist;
- analüüsib uurimisülesandega seotud teaduskirjandust ning koostab selle põhjal struktureeritud kirjanduse ülevaate bakalaureusetöö jaoks;
- sõnastab ja põhjendab bakalaureusetöö uurimisteema ning asjakohased uurimisküsimused;
- planeerib bakalaureusetöö tegevused ja ajakava ning ajakohastab neid töö edenemise käigus;
- esitab uuritava teema, eesmärgid ja esialgsed tulemused kirjalikus ja suulises vormis ning analüüsib saadud tagasisidet.

After completing this course the student:
- applies the rules for preparing written academic work in accordance with the faculty’s bachelor’s thesis guidelines;
- analyses scientific literature related to the research task and prepares a structured literature review for the bachelor’s thesis;
- formulates and justifies the bachelor’s thesis research topic and relevant research questions;
- plans the activities and schedule of the bachelor’s thesis and updates them as the work progresses;
- presents the research topic, objectives, and preliminary results in written and oral form and analyses the received feedback.

Aine raames täpsustatakse lõputöö teema, korraldatakse kokkusaamiseid, kus tudeng annab ülevaate oma töö teemast. Tehakse lõputöö kirjutamise plaan ja kirjutatakse valmis lõputöö esimene versioon. Töö ülesehitusele ja esitatud tulemustele antakse tagasisidet, kuidas lõputööd paremaks muuta.

During the course the thesis topic will be narrowed down. The student will give an overview of the thesis topic. The plan of performing the BSc work will be formulated and a draft plan of the thesis will be developed. Feedback will be provided to the structure of the work, results and presentation.
