Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- selgitab, mis on äriarendus, IT arendus, infosüsteemi arendus ning IT arendusprojekt;
- hindab erinevate projektijuhtimise metoodikate ja raamistike sarnasusi ning erinevusi;
- analüüsib IT arendusprojekti elutsüklit ning selle läbimisel kasutatavaid metoodikaid ja tehnikaid;
- teab, kuidas juhtida IT arendusprojekti;
- formuleerib ettevõtte esindajana ärilisi lähteülesandeid ning koostab ja tellib infosüsteemide arendusprojekte;
- räägib argumenteeritult kaasa infosüsteemide loomisel ja esitleb projekte.

After completing this course, the student:
- explains what is meant by business development, IT development, information system development and IT development project;
- evaluates similarities and differences between different project management methodologies and frameworks;
- analyses the lifecycle of an IT development project and the methodologies and techniques that are used throughout the lifecycle;
- knows how to conduct an IT development project;
- as a representative of an enterprise, formulates business tasks and creates and orders information system development projects;
- participates in and contributes to the development of information systems and presents projects.

Äriarenduse eesmärk, protsess ja komponendid; kuidas äripoole esindajana infosüsteemide arendusi tellida ja juhtida; Projekti definitsioonid; projekti komponendid ; infosüsteemi projekti seadistamine ja spetsifitseerimine (eesmärgid, oodatavad tulemused, arendusmetoodika, projektorganisatsioon ja töökorraldus; riskid, meetrika); projekti läbiviimine (projekti kulgemise, muudatuste, riskide, meeskonna toimimise juhtimine); programmi, projektide portfelli juhtimine, mitmeprojektiline keskkond; agiilmetoodikate iseloomustus, projektijuhtimise metoodikad, raamistikud ja standardid.

Purpose, process and components of business development; how to order and manage the development of information systems as a representative of the business side; project definitions, project components, IT system project setup and specification (goals, expected outcomes, development methods, project organisation and division of labour, risks, metrics), carrying out the project (management of project progression, changes, risks, team work); management of programme, project portfolio, multi-project environment; characterisation of agile methodologies, project management methodologies, frameworks and standards.
