Magistriseminari eesmärk on:
- õpetada akadeemilise (ja tehnilise) kirjutamise ning suulise ja kirjaliku eneseväljendamise aluseid;
- abistada üliõpilasi uurimistöö läbiviimisel ja magistritöö kirjutamisel;
- anda võimalus oma tulemuste esitlemiseks ja tagasiside saamiseks.

The aim of the master's seminar is to:
- teach the foundations of academic (and technical) writing, the foundations of oral and written expression;
- assist students with carrying out their research and writing the master’s thesis;
- provide an opportunity for presenting their results and getting feedback.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- viib läbi uurimistöö, rakendades selget metoodikat;
- valib lahenduste väljatöötamisel selged kriteeriumid ja rakendab neid;
- oskab viia läbi uurimistööd ja seda nõuetekohaselt vormistada;
- esitleb oma tulemusi selgelt ja arusaadavalt;
- on kirjutanud valmis oma magistritöö esimese versiooni ja läbinud eelkaitsmise.

- conducts research by applying clear methodology;
- chooses and applies clear criteria for developing solutions;
- conducts and formalises research;
- presents their results in a clear and understandable manner;

Aine raames kirjutavad osalejad valmis esimese versiooni oma magistritööst ning esitavad tulemusi kaasüliõpilastele ja õppejõududele. Töö ülesehitusele ja esitatud tulemustele antakse tagasisidet, kuidas magistritööd paremaks muuta.

The participants write the first draft of their Master’s thesis for the course and present the results to fellow students and lecturers. The structure of the research and the results presented receive feedback for possible improvements of the thesis.
