Toetada magistrandide oskusi teha erinevaid kvaliteetseid teadusprojekte, s.h. magistritööd
Õppeaine analüüsib erinevate teaduslike metoodikate põhialuseid ning nende sobivust teadusliku töö eesmärkide saavutamisel. Magistriseminaride käigus käsitletakse erinevaid metoodikaid ning analüüsitakse praktilisi näiteid. Analüüsitakse praktiliste näidete varal erinevate metoodikate erinevust ning kõrge teadusväärtusega tulemuste saamist.
Toimub iseseisev töö eesmärgiga tõhustada üliõpilaste oskusi oma planeeritava teadustöö kvaliteedi analüüsimisel ning maksimaalselt kõrge teadusväärtusega tulemuse saavutamisel. Magistrantidega arutatakse konkreetsete teaduslike ettekannete ettevalmistamist ja esitamise metoodikaid, samuti aspekte, mis on vajalikud rahvusvahelisteks esinemisteks.

Improve masters students´ knowldege about scientific reseach desing to improve their skills for scientific research. Different scientific methods are analysed with emphases how specific methods are suitable for solving specific scientific questions. Different methods are analysed and practical examples of good and bad quality research is demonstrated and discussed. Independent work is included in curriculum that is analysed during seminars. Presentation skills for different types of scientific presentations is discussed. Masters thesis setup and quality is analysed. Students present their ongoing scientific research during seminars.

Magistrandid on analüüsinud erinevaid metoodikaid teadusliku töö planeerimise erinevatest sammudest. On võimelised tõstatama probleemi, valima sobivaima teadusliku töö metoodika, on võimeline iseseisvalt tegema individuaalset uuirmistööd, koguma andmeid, neid aanalüüsima, ning tegema järeldusi. Magistrandid on korduvalt oma tedustööd seminaride käigus esitlenud. Magistrandidel on selge ettekujutus magstritöö nõuetest.

Student has analysed different aspects of scientific research design and and is able to formulate research question, choose best suited method for research, is able perform individual research, collect data, analyse data and formulate conclusions. Students have presented their ongoing research several times during seminars. Student has good knowledge of technical aspects of master thesis.
