VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Kursuse läbinud üliõpilane on võimeline projekteerima ja analüüsima lihtsamaid antenne ja mõistma raadiolainete levi mõjutavaid asjaolusid. Tudeng on võimeline rakendama saadud teadmisi raadiosidesüsteemide disainil. Õppetöö käigus omandatakse antennide- ja raadiolevi valdkonna teoreetilised alusteadmised ja praktilised oskused lihtsamate mõõtmiste läbiviimiseks.
course aims in English
By the end of this course, students should be able to design and analyse antennas for various applications, understand the factors affecting radio wave propagation, and apply this knowledge to optimize wireless communication systems in real-world scenarios. They will also be familiar with both theoretical concepts and practical measurement techniques used in the field of antennas and radio propagation.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Õppeaine edukalt läbinud üliõpilane:
1. teab antenniteooria aluseid ja antennide peamisi parameetreid ning kasutab neid abimaterjalide toel ülesannete lahendamiseks;
2. analüüsib eri antennitüüpide tööd ja võrdleb erinevaid antenne omavahel;
3. disainib lihtsamaid antenne ja võresid ning hindab nende sooritust;
4. teostab iseseisvalt lihtsamaid antennide mõõtmisi ja tõlgendab saadud tulemusi;
5. teab, kuidas elektromagnetlained erinevates keskkondades levivad ja arvestab lainete peegeldumisest, murdumisest ning hajumisest tekkivaid mõjusid signaali tugevusele ja kvaliteedile.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
Student who has successfully finished the course must be able to:
1. understand the basic principles of antenna theory and antenna parameters;
2. analyse and compare different types of antennas;
3. design simple antennas and arrays using theoretical and computational techniques and evaluate their performance;
4. measure and interpret key performance metrics of antennas;
5. understand the mechanisms of radio wave propagation in different environments and analyse the effects of reflection, refraction, diffraction, and scattering on radio waves and their impact on signal strength and quality.
