- teab põhilisi mobiilse positsioneerimise toimimisprintsiipe (protokolle, standardeid) ja oskab valida sobivaid lahendusi konkreetsete ülesannete puhul.

- understands block diagrams of radars and radio navigation aids, major algorithms

Infohankesüsteemide üldiseloomustus ja kasutusalad. Põhialgoritmid ja -valemid. Radartehnika meetodid ja radarite tüübid, struktuurskeemid. Raadionavigatsioonisüsteemid. Radarsüsteemid. Sonari süsteemid.
Globaalse (GPS, DGPS) ja lokaalse (RF- ja RFID- sensorvõrkudes) positsioneerimise põhialused -süsteemid, standardid, seadmed, ülevaade riistvara, tarkvara ja signaalitöötluse lahendustest. Positsioneerimise täpsus ja vigade analüüs. Aja sünkroniseerimine võrkudes ja GPSi abil.

Information detecting systems and areas of application. Main algorithms and equations. Radar technology and types, block diagrams. Radio navigation aids and methods. Radars systems. Sonar systems.
Basics of global (GPS, DGPS) and (in RF- ja RFID- sensor-networks) local mobile positioning and navigation- systems, standards, overview of hardware, software and signal processing components. Accuracy analysis. Time synchronisation in networks and with GPS.
