Praktika eesmärk on rakendada õpingute käigus omandatud teoreetilisi teadmisi ja praktilisi oskusi, arendades väljapakutud teemade hulgast valituna reaalse lahenduse või toote. Lisaks arendada iseseisva ja meeskonnatöö oskusi ning pakkuda praktiliste projektide lahendamise töökogemust nii ettevõtetes kui ka ülikooli keskkonnas.

The goal of the internship is to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during studies by developing a real solution or product selected from the proposed topics. In addition, to enhance independent and teamwork skills and to provide work experience in solving practical projects both in companies and in the university environment.

Praktika läbinud üliõpilane:
- valib ja rakendab ülesannete lahendamisel asjakohaseid töövõtteid ja meetodeid ning leiab vajadusel sellekohast täiendavat lisainfot;
- kogub ja tõlgendab erialast informatsiooni, sealjuures selgitab ja argumenteerib tehtud valikuid ja otsuseid;
- dokumenteerib ja analüüsib projektipõhisel praktikal saadud kogemusest õpitut;
- seostab koolis õpitut ja praktikal täidetud tööülesandeid;
- töötab iseseisvalt ja meeskonnas, suhtub sallivalt hoiakute ja väärtuste mitmekesisusse;
- koostab ja kaitseb praktika aruande.

The student:
- selects and applies appropriate techniques and methods for solving tasks, and, if necessary, seeks additional relevant information;
- collects and interprets professional information, explaining and justifying the choices and decisions made;
- documents and analyzes the learning outcomes from project-based practical experience;
- connects theoretical knowledge acquired at formal education with the tasks completed during the internship;
- works independently and in a team, demonstrating tolerance towards diverse attitudes and values;
- prepares and defends the internship report.

Projektipõhise praktika raames osaleb üliõpilane kindlaksmääratud ajaperioodil ülikooli koordineeritud projektis, kus ülesanded on seotud era- või avaliku sektori tellimusega. Praktika jooksul pakutakse üliõpilasele tööalast kogemust ja võimalust arendada oma professionaalseid oskusi.

Praktika läbimisel tuleb lähtuda TalTechi infoteholoogia teaduskonna kodulehel asuvatest juhistest (https://www.taltech.ee/praktika-ICO).

Praktika sisu peab vastama õppekavakohastele nõuetele ja praktikaainele on määratud eeldusained. Eeldusained peavad olema läbitud praktikaperioodi alguseks. Nõuded praktika sisule ja eeldusainete loetelu on välja toodud ainekava infoväljal asuvas failis. 

As part of the project-based internship, the student participates during a specified period in a university-coordinated project, where the tasks are related to an assignment from the private or public sector. During the internship, the student is provided with work experience and the opportunity to develop their professional skills.
The internship must be carried out in accordance with the guidelines available on the TalTech School of Information Technologies website (https://www.taltech.ee/praktika-ICO).
The content of the internship must comply with the requirements of the curriculum, and prerequisite courses are assigned to the internship subject. The prerequisite courses must be completed before the start of the internship period. The requirements for the content of the internship and the list of prerequisite courses are provided in the file attached to the course syllabus information field.

- Projektipraktika arvestamise eeldus on projekti lõpuleviimine selliselt, et kõik alguses kokkulepitud ülesanded on täidetud ja valminud on terviklik toode või lahendus, mida üliõpilane kaitseb komisjoni ees ning esitab ka praktikaaruande.
- Praktikaperioodi maht on 280 tundi (7 nädalat täiskoormuse puhul).
- Praktika läbimisel tuleb lähtuda TalTechi infoteholoogia teaduskonna kodulehel asuvatest juhistest.

- The prerequisite for passing the project practice is the completion of the project in such a way that all tasks agreed upon at the beginning have been fulfilled and a complete product or solution has been delivered. The student must defend the outcome before a committee and also submit a practice report.
- The volume of the practice period is 280 hours (7 weeks in the case of full-time study).
- In carrying out the practice, the student must follow the guidelines published on the website of the TalTech School of Information Technologies.
