Õpitakse tundma IT infrastruktuuri ja selle komponente, antakse ülevaade peamistest infrastruktuuri teenustest (DNS, DHCP, NTP), tutvustatakse süsteemide dokumenteerimise, seire, logimise ja varundamise printsiipe.

Course gives an overview of the IT infrastructure and it’s components. Covered are main infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP), best practices of monitoring, logging, backing up and documenting systems.

Aine läbinud õpilane oskab seadistada infrastruktuuri juurteenused (DNS, DHCP, NTP), tunneb nende teenuste toimimisprintsiipe. Oskab seadistada pöördproksit, edastusproksit, sertifikaate genereerida. Tunneb HTTP ja SSL protokollide tööpõhimõtteid. Tunneb süsteemide logimise, logimise agregeerimise printsiipe, varundamist ja seiret.

Students who complete this course will be able to configure infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP), knows the operational principles of these services. Can configure proxies, generate certificates. Knows the operation of HTTP and SSL protocols. Knows the principles of system logging, log aggregation, backup and monitoring.

Õppeaine annab ülevaate levinumatest IT infrastruktuuri teenustest. Juurteenused: DNS, DHCP, NTP. Veebiteenused infrastruktuuri administraatori vaatepunktist. Dokumenteerimine ja Varundamine. Konfiguratsioonihaldus ja muud halduskoormuse vähendamise ja tegevuste automatiseerimise meetodid. Monitoorimine ja logide keskhaldus. Keskne kataloogi ja failiteenus. Põgusalt käsitletakse ka e-posti ja PKI teemasid. Kursuse põhirõhk on praktilistel harjutustel ja laboratoorsetel töödel. Kursuse käigus toimuvad laboratoorsed tööd, mille käigus installeeritakse ja seadistatakse enamlevinud teenuseid.

Documenting and backing up of systems. Configuration management and administrative tasks automation. Monitoring, central log management, log aggregation. Central directory and file services E-mail and PKI. Virtualisation, converged systems, redundancy. During the course there are practical assignments where students install and configure various infrastructure services.
