Aine annab detailse ülevaate majandusvabadustest siseturul (so kaupade, isikute, teenuste ja kapitali vaba liikumine), mis on Euroopa Ühenduse materiaalõiguse südamiku. Selles kontekstis mängib olulist rolli Euroopa Kohus, tõlgendades EÜ asutamislepingut ning teisi õigusakte, mille eesmärk on eemaldada piirangud majandusvabaduste realiseerimisel.

The course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the economic freedoms in the internal market, i.e., the freedom of movement for goods, persons, services and capital, which are at the heart of the European Community’s economic constitutional law. In this context, understanding of the case law of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) will play an instrumental role in interpretation of the relevant EC Treaty and other legislative provisions aimed at removing the obstacles to those freedoms.

The focus of the lectures will be the "four freedoms" in the EU internal market and the principles underlying the development of the law in this field.

Aine läbimine põhineb 10% loengutel ja seminaritel osalemisel ning nendeks valmistumisel, 40% vaheeksamil ning 50% lõpueksamil. Loe täpsemaid tingimusi inglisekeelsest kirjeldusest.

10% - attendance and preparation for the class
Attendance points will be lost if the student fails to appear in class two or more times during semester. Medical certificates should contain the contact information of the doctor who issued them, and in case the student is employed I will require also a confirmation from the employer as to the sick leave taken. Work in itself is not an excuse.
40 % - mid-term exam
50% - final exam
Exams will be 90 min. written in-class exams. Both will involve hypothetical cases to which students should provide legal analysis and solutions. Dictionary, EC Treaty and personal notes can be brought to the exam.
