Anda põhiteadmised intellektuaalomandi aluspõhimõtetest: patentide, kasulike mudelite, kaubamärkide, tööstusdisaini, ärisaladuse ja autoriõiguse erisustest; intellektuaalomandi kaitsestrateegiatest ning väärtuse hindamise meetoditest ettevõtluses.

To give students the general knowledge of intellectual property: differences of patent, utility model, trademark, industrial design, trade secret and copyright; protection strategy for intellectual property and the methods of evaluating the values in business

Kursuse lõpetanu:
eristab intellektuaalomandi liike,
selgitab intellektuaalomandi kaitse võimalusi,
analüüsib intellektuaalomandi kaitse ja selle väärtuse hindamise vajadust ettevõtluses,
arutab ja analüüsib oma erialaga seotud intellektuaalomandi õiguslikke küsimusi kasutades argumenteerimise põhimõtteid.

In the end of the course a student distinguishes the types of inetellectual property, explains the possibilities to protect intellectual property, analyses the need to protect the intellectual property and to evaluate its value in a business; by using the argumentation rules discusses and analyses the legal questions of intellectual property related to the specialty of the student.

Intellektuaalomandi liigid: patendid, kasulikud mudelid, kaubamärgid, tööstusdisain, ärisaladused ja autoriõigused ja nende erisused, intellektuaalomandi kaitsestrateegiad ning väärtuse hindamise meetodid ettevõtluses. Arutelud ja analüüsid intellektuaalomandist seoses õpitava erialaga ning argumenteerimise põhimõtete kasutamine aktuaalsete intellektuaalomandiga seotud probleemide analüüsimisel.

Types of intellectual property: patents, utility models, trademarks, industriaal designs, trade secrets and and copyrights and their differentiation, strategies of protection of the intellectual property and the methods of evaluating the values in a business. Discussions and analyses of intellectual property related to the specialty of the student and using the methods of argumentation in analysing the topical questions related to the intellectual property.
