Kursuse eesmärgiks on aidata tudengitel:
- omandada teadmisi eetikateooriatest (moraalifilosoofia üldiselt, keskkonnaeetika, uurimistöö eetika, elukutse-eetika (inseneriteadus) jne);
- parandada eneseanalüüsi oskusi eetiliste probleemide korral;
- parandada võimekust põhjendada eetilisi otsustusi;
- arendada meeskonnatöö ja ettekannete tegemise oskusi.

- knowledge of ethical theories (general, enviromental ethics, research ethics, professional ethics etc);
- ability to reflect upon ethical issues;
- capacity to justify ethical positions;
- teamwork and presentation skills.
