course aims in Estonian
Õppeaine eesmärk on anda ülevaade küberturbe valdkonnast ning tutvustada selle põhimõisteid, tehnoloogiaid ja juhtimist.
course aims in English
The aim of the course is to provide an overview of cybersecurity and introduce its core concepts, technologies and management.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- selgitab küberturbe põhimõisteid ja peamiste turbetehnoloogiate otstarvet;
- selgitab küberturvalisuse ja kübereetika põhimõtteid ning rakendab neid etteantud juhtumite analüüsimisel;
- kirjeldab peamiste küberturbe standardite eesmärke ja seost infoturbe korraldamisega;
- selgitab krüptograafia põhimeetodite ja krüptograafiliste protokollide tööpõhimõtteid ning põhjendab nende valikut andmete ja side kaitseks;
- rakendab õppeülesandes süsteemi viirusetõrje ja tõrkekindluse suurendamise meetodeid ning kontrollib nende toimimist;
- analüüsib etteantud süsteemi infoturberiske ning valib ja rakendab nende põhjal sobivaid infoturbe meetodeid andmete ja võrgustatud süsteemide kaitseks, põhjendades tehtud valikuid.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
After completing this course the student:
- explains core cybersecurity concepts and the purpose of major security technologies;
- explains cybersecurity and cyberethics principles and applies them when analysing given cases;
- describes the objectives of major cybersecurity standards and their relationship to information security management;
- explains how basic cryptographic methods and cryptographic protocols work and justifies their selection to protect data and communications;
- applies methods for antivirus protection and improving system fault tolerance in a course assignment and checks their operation;
- analyses the information security risks of a given system and, based on the identified risks, selects and applies appropriate information security measures to protect data and networked systems, justifying the choices made.
