VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
course aims in English
The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and practical skills in applying computer-aided design (CAD) systems in the field of energy engineering. The course focuses on the design of electrical networks, energy systems, equipment and control panels using CAD software to create technical schematics, 2D and 3D models and standard-compliant project documentation.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- selgitab CAD-projekteerimise rolli ja võimalusi energiatehnika valdkonnas;
- koostab CAD-keskkonnas energiatehnilisi jooniseid ja skeeme (nt ühejoonelised, põhimõtte- ja montaažskeemid);
- projekteerib energiasüsteemide komponente, nagu elektrijaotuskilbid, juhtimispaneelid ja kaablitrassid;
- loob ja kasutab 2D- ja 3D-mudeleid energiatehniliste objektide ja süsteemide visualiseerimiseks;
- kasutab CAD-tarkvara tehniliste arvutuste, kontrollide ja standarditele vastavuse toetamiseks;
- koostab ja vormistab CAD-põhise projektdokumentatsiooni, sh joonised ja spetsifikatsioonid;
- töötab iseseisvalt CAD-keskkonnas ning lahendab praktilisi energeetika projekteerimisülesandeid.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
After completing this course the student:
- explains the role and capabilities of CAD design in energy engineering;
- prepares energy-related drawings and schematics in a CAD environment (e.g. single-line, schematic and installation diagrams);
- designs energy system components such as distribution boards, control panels and cable routes;
- creates and uses 2D and 3D models to visualise energy engineering objects and systems;
- applies CAD tools to support technical calculations, checks and compliance with standards;
- prepares and formats CAD-based project documentation, including drawings and specifications;
- works independently in a CAD environment and solves practical energy engineering design tasks.
brief description of the course in Estonian
brief description of the course in English
The course focuses on the application of CAD systems in energy engineering as integrated software and technical tools for modelling, calculation, design and documentation of energy facilities. Students learn to create accurate and standardised technical drawings and schematics for electrical networks, energy systems and equipment. Practical work includes the preparation of schematic, installation and as-built drawings, design of distribution boards and control panels, routing of cables, equipment layout, and the use of 2D and 3D modelling for visualisation of energy engineering solutions. The course also covers automation of calculations, compliance checks and generation of project documentation within a CAD environment.
