Aine eesmöärk on anda ülevaade elektrivõrgu ja alajaama tööpõhimõttest, ehitusest ja ühendamisest. Õpetada üliõpilasi arvutama elektrivõrke ja lähendama elektrivõrguga seotud probleeme; õppida tundma alajaamu, nende struktuuri ja seadmeid.

The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of the operation, construction and connection of the power network and substation. Teach students to calculate power networks and solve problems related to the power network; to know substations, their structure and equipment.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- tunneb alajaamade tüüpe ja nende ühendamise mooduseid elektrivõrkudega ning tarbijatega;
- oskab joonestada alajaamade elektriskeeme;
- valib alajaamade põhiseadmeid/kaitseseadmeid ja arvutab nende sätteid;
- arvutab elektriliine;
- valib elektriliinide seadmeid ja seletab elektriliinide tööpõhimõtteid, kaitset ja ehitust.

Student who passed the course:
- knows the types of substations and ways of connecting them to electrical networks and consumers;
- is able to draw circuit diagrams of substations;
- selects basic devices/protection devices for substations and calculate their settings;
- calculates power lines;
- chooses equipment for power lines and explains the principles of operation, protection and construction of power lines.

Alajaama põhimõisted, struktuur ja side elektrivõrguga. Alajaama põhi- ja abiseadmed. Alajaamade tüübid. Alajaamade põhiskeemid ja konfiguratsioonid. Alajaamade skeemi koostamise põhimõtted. Alajaama elementide ja terviku töökindlus. Jõutrafode kasutamine ja ehitus. Elektrivõrgu põhimõisted, liigitus ja konfiguratsioonid. Võrkudele esitatavad nõuded. Õhu ja kaabelliinide konstruktsioon. Elektrivõrgu elementide parameetrid ja aseskeemid. Pinge-, võimsus- ja energiakaod elektrivõrgus. Võrkude arvutamine. Võimsus- ja energiakadude vähendamise meetmed. Elektrienergia kvaliteedinõuete arvestamine võrgu talitluse juhtimisel.

Basic concepts, structure and connection of the substation to the power network. Basic and auxiliary equipment of the substation. Types of substations. Basic schemes and configurations with substations. Basic principles of drawing up substation diagrams. Reliability of substation elements and the substation itself. Use and construction of power transformers. Basic concepts, classification and configurations of the power network. Requirements for networks. Construction of overhead and cable lines. Construction of overhead and cable lines. Parameters of power network elements and equivalent circuits. Voltage, power and energy losses in the network. Calculation of networks. Measures to reduce power and energy losses. Network performance taking into account the electricity quality requirements.
