Aine eesmärk on anda info- ja andmehõivesüsteemide ning nendes kasutatavate elektroonsete vahendite iseloomustus nii nende kasutamise kui ka arendamise, väljatöötamise ja tootmise seisukohalt; ning teadmisi eri andmemudelite põhimõtetest, teadmisi ja oskuseid andmebaasikeelest SQL.

The aim of this course is to introduce the characteristics and parameters of data acquisition systems and its electronic components taking into account their different applications and also development, designing and production. To give knowledge about the principles of different data models as well as to give knowledge and skills about the database language SQL.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- tunneb info- ja andmehõive põhimõisted ja meetodid;
- tunneb andmetöötluse ja esmaanalüüsi põhimõtteid;
- teab erinevaid andmemudeleid, nende alusel andmete organiseerimise erinevusi ning ülesandeid, mille lahendamiseks need sobivad või ei sobi;
- teab algtasemel andmebaasisüsteemide ülesehtitust ja funktsionaalsust;
- omab algteadmisi andmekäsitluskeele SQL kasutamiseks.

Upon completion a student:
- knows the basic concepts and methods of information and data acquisition;
- knows the principles of data processing and primary analysis;
- knows different data models, their differences in organizing data, and tasks where they are suitable or not suitable to use the models;
- knows the configuration and functionality of database systems at the initial level;
- has basic knowledge of the data-processing language SQL.

Füüsikaliste suuruste mõõtmiste ja andmehõive aluseid. Mõõteinfo anduritelt kogumine, selle töötlemine, salvestamine. Andmehõivesüsteemide põhimõisted. Andmebaaside põhimõisted. Andmebaasisüsteem. Andmemudelid, sh NoSQL süsteemides kasutatavad andmemudelid. Relatsioonilised andmebaasisüsteemid. Sissejuhatus SQL-keelde. Päringud SQL keeles. NoSQL andmebaasisüsteemide ülevaade.
