Üliõpilane:
- koostab ja analüüsib energiatehnoloogia objekti majanduslikku projekti;
- üüstitab ülesandeid ja pakub välja võimalikke lahendusi;
- projekteerib lihtsustatult energiatehnoloogia objekti, valides sh objekti suuruse, kasutades energiavarustuse võimalusi;
- hindab objekti kulusid ja tulusid;
- mõistab ja rakendab investeeringute hindamise mitmesuguseid meetodeid;
- mõistab ja teostab objekti tundlikkuse arvutusi ja tasuvusarvutusi;
- valib parima projekti ning põhjendab otsust;
- osaleb meeskonnatöös, diskuteerib energeetika objekti tasuvuse teemadel ning kaitseb koostatud projekti.

The student:
- compiles and analyzes the economic project of the energy technology object;
- prepares the problem statement and suggests possible solutions;
- designs a simplified energy technology object, including selecting the size of the object, using energy supply options;
- estimates object costs and revenues;
- understands and applies various investment valuation methods,
- understands and performs object sensitivity calculations and calculations of profitability;
- selects the optimal project and justifies the decision;
- participates in team work, discusses the economic efficiency of the energy object and defends the prepared project.

Lähteülesande tehniline ja majanduslik püstitus. Lihtsa tehnilise projekti koostamine. Eesmärgi täitmiseks sobilike tehnoloogiate valik ja sobivus. Majanduslike algandmete prognoosimine.
