The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, processes and tools of supply chain planning.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- selgitab tarneahela planeerimise põhimõtteid, protsesse ja tasandeid;
- kirjeldab erinevaid prognoosimise, tootmise, varude ja jaotusvõrgu planeerimise meetodeid;
- analüüsib tarneahela planeerimise rolli ettevõtte konkurentsivõime tagamisel;
- koostab lihtsustatud tarneahela planeerimismudeli;
- kasutab prognoosimise ja varude arvutamise meetodeid;
- rakendab andmepõhiseid tööriistu tarneahela planeerimisotsuste tegemisel;
- oskab teha planeerimisotsuseid, mis tasakaalustavad kulusid, tarnekindlust ja kliendirahulolu;
- töötab meeskonnas ja kasutab koostööplatvorme tarneahela planeerimise kontekstis;
- hindab ja maandab tarneahela planeerimisega seotud riske.

- explains the principles, processes and levels of supply chain planning;
- describes various forecasting, production, inventory and distribution network planning methods;
- analyses the role of supply chain planning in ensuring the competitiveness of a company;
- prepares a simplified supply chain planning model;
- uses forecasting and inventory calculation methods;
- applies data-driven tools in making supply chain planning decisions;
- is able to make planning decisions that balance costs, supply reliability and customer satisfaction;
- works in a team and uses collaboration platforms in the context of supply chain planning;
- assesses and mitigates risks related to supply chain planning.

Kursuse käigus õpitakse, kuidas kavandada ja optimeerida tarneahela tegevusi, et tagada kaupade ja teenuste õigeaegne, kulutõhus ja kvaliteetne liikumine tarnijalt kliendini. Õppeaine seob teoreetilised teadmised praktiliste oskustega, valmistades tudengeid ette tööks logistika- ja tarneahela juhtimise valdkonnas.

The course teaches students how to plan and optimize supply chain activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective and high-quality movement of goods and services from supplier to customer. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing students for work in the fields of logistics and supply chain management.
