Töökogemuse omandamine logistika, tarneahela juhtimise või transpordi planeerimise valdkondades kas ettevõttes/asutuses töötamise või haridus-/koolitusasutuses õpetamisprotsessi läbiviimise kaudu (vähemalt 4 nädalat). Töökogemuse omandamine/ praktika teostamise raames üliõpilase ettevalmistamine magistritöö empiirilise osa planeerimiseks ja teostamiseks, kasutades selleks seminaritööd. Üliõpilaste uurimistööde teemade tutvustamine üksteisele ja juhendajatele seminariettekande vormis.

Acquisition of experience in the fields of logistics, supply chain engineering or transportation planning through work in a company\institution or teaching in an educational institution. Acquiring work experience in logistics, supply chain management or transport planning, either in the company/institution or in the educational / training institution through the teaching process (at least 4 weeks). During the working process/practising, the focus is o prepare the student for planning and carrying out the empirical part of the Master's thesis during seminar work. Introducing students’ research topics to each other and supervisors in the form of a seminar presentation.

Üliõpilane:
- tunneb praktikaettevõtte organisatsiooni ning erinevate allüksuste rolle selles;
- tunneb praktikaettevõtte põhiprotsesse;
- viib ellu juhendaja poolt ette antud projekti või lahendab probleemi(d), vormistades selle (nende) kohta kirjaliku raporti ja suulise ettekande;
- oskab hinnata oma tegevust praktikainstitutsioonis ja selle tagajärgi;
- kui praktika toimub õppeasutuses, siis praktika läbinu oskab ette valmistada materjale harjutustundideks või seminarideks ning kasutab asjakohaseid tehnilisi vahendeid nende läbiviimiseks;
- oskab praktikaettevõtte näitel kitsamalt või valdkonna tasandil laiemalt defineerida uurimisprobleemi, püstitada eesmärgi ja sõnastab uurimisülesanded, leiab vajalikud ja asjakohased andmed;
- valib ja põhjendab magistritöö kirjutamiseks sobiva(d) meetodi(d) ja leiab asjakohased kirjanduslikud allikad;
- valmistab tulevase magistritöö kohta uurimistöö teemaplaani ja vormistab selle vastavalt etteantud tingimustele;
- teeb tulevase magistritöö kohta seminariettekande, kasutades sobivaid esitlusvahendeid;
- on võimeline hindama enda poolt pakutava lahenduse sotsiaalseid ja eetilisi aspekte.

The student:
- is familiar with the structure of the company that provides training and the position of the structural unit(s) dealing with logistics, supply chain management or transportation planning;
- knows the principal processes of the company providing training and can propose ideas for improving such processes in the area of logistics, supply chain management or transportation planning;
- knows how to use the knowledge acquired in the study process for practical tasks;
- can critically evaluate his or her activities when solving problems in the field of training.
- If the traineeship takes place in an educational institution the learning results are expressed is the ability to prepare materials for seminars and use technology tools in the study process.
- is able to define a research problem more narrowly or more broadly at the level of the company that provides training, set a goal and formulate research tasks, find the necessary and relevant data;
- select and justify the method(s) suitable for the Master's thesis and find relevant literature sources;
- prepares the empirical part of the Master's thesis according to the given conditions;
- makes a seminar presentation on the future Master's thesis using appropriate presentation tools;
- is able to assess the social and ethical aspects of the solution it offers.

Praktika toimub kas: 1) logistikaettevõttes; 2) mõne muu ettevõtte/asutuse logistiliste tegevustega seotud allüksuses; 3) haridus- või täiendkoolitusega tegelevas institutsioonis. Praktikakoha leidmine on reeglina üliõpilase korraldada. Praktika kestus on vähemalt neli nädalat.

Peale praktika teostamist ja praktikaaruande kaitsmist või samaaegselt, juhul kui praktikat teostatakse sügissemestril, teostab üliõpilane magistriseminari kohtumiste raames (2 kohtumist sügissemestril) uurimuse kavandamise ning selle planeerimise uurimisprotsessi osana.

Magistriseminari kontakttunnid toimuvad sügissemestril kahes etapis. Esiteks uurimistööde teoreetilise käsitluse tutvustamine (Teaduslike uurimistulemuste publitseerimine. Magistritöö kui (teadus) publikatsioon. Magistritöö liigid. Juhendaja ja üliõpilase rollid magistritöö kirjutamisel. Uurimismeetodid. Mõõtmine. Andmeallikad, kirjanduse otsing. Töö koosseis. Nõuded magistritöö vormistusele. Magistritöö kaitsmine ja retsenseerimine). Teiseks vastavalt kujundatud plaanile magistritöö teemaplaanide esitamine.
brief description of the course in English
Traineeship takes place 1) in a logistics company or 2) in a structural unit of a company responsible for logistics or 3) in an institution dealing with training or in-service training. As a rule, each student finds his/her own company/institution for training. Training lasts at least four weeks.

After completing the training and presenting/ defending the internship report, the student will conduct a Master's seminar in form of classroom meetings (2 meetings during the autumn semester) as part of the research process and planning of the study. The trainee and its mandatory parts (internship report) can be presented also at the same time as the training if it is conducted during the autumn semester.

The contact classes of the Master's seminar take place in two phases during the autumn semester. Firstly, the introduction of a theoretical approach to the research (Publication of scientific research findings. Master's thesis as a scientific research. Types of Master's thesis). Secondly, the presentation of the Master's thesis plans according to the prepared plan.

Mittediferentseeritud hindamine. Arvestuse saamiseks peab üliõpilane esitama praktikaaruande ja muud õppetegevuse juhendmaterjalides nõutud dokumendid. Magistriseminaride raames esitab üliõpilane uurimistöö teemakavandi.

Non-differentiated assessment. In order to obtain a positive result, the student has to submit a practice report and other documents required in the instruction manuals. Within the framework of the master seminars, the student presents a thematic plan of research (Master's thesis plan).

Praktikaaruande teemaplaani koostamine toimub vastavalt juhendmaterjalidele. Aruande põhiosa maht on 10-15 lehekülge, arvestamata tiitellehte, sissejuhatust, kokkuvõtet ja lisasid. Õpetamispraktika aruande (õpimapi) struktuur kooskõlastatakse praktika kuraatoriga. Aruanne peab sisaldama ülevaate praktikaettevõttest/-asutusest, praktikandi töö kirjelduse ning hinnangud töökorralduse kohta ettevõttes/asutuses ja praktikandi ettepanekuid töökorralduse (õpetamispraktika puhul õpetamisprotsessi) parandamiseks. Aruande sisuosa võib annab sisendi uurimistöö teema sõnastamiseks ning detailseks esitamiseks aurande teises pooles nn teemaplaan. Praktikaaruanne kuulub suuliseks kaitsmiseks praktikaseminaris (pikkus maksimaalselt 7 minutit).

Praktika läbimise ja selle juurde kuuluva praktikaaruande esitamisega kaasneb osalemine kahel magistriseminaril (magistriseminarid toimuvad ainult sügissemestril). Teisel magistriseminaril esitleb üliõpilane eelnevalt koostatud ja esitatud teemakavandi planeeritavast uurimusest.

The training report is prepared according to the given guidelines. The report is not more than 10-15 pages, excluding the title page, introduction, summary and appendices. The structure of the teaching practice report (syllabus) is coordinated with the practice curator. The report shall include an overview of a company that provides training/institution, the description of the trainee's work and the assessment of the organization of work in the company/institution and the proposals of the trainee to improve the organization of work (teaching process for teaching practice). The content of the report may provide input for the formulation of the research topic and for detailed presentation in the second half of the annotation (thesis plan). The training report has to be presented at a practice seminar (maximum 7 minutes).

Attending a working or teaching training and submitting a training report will be accompanied by two Master's seminars (Master's seminars will only take place during the autumn semester). At the second Master's seminar, the student presents the prepared and submitted the Master’s theme plan about the planned study.
