Üliõpilane:
- mõistab transpordilogistika olemust ja ülesandeid ning seostab need tarneahela toimimisega;
- oskab hinnata nõudluse-pakkumise vahekorda veoturul;
- valib etteantud tingimustes optimaalse veo terviklahenduse;
- haldab veovajadusest lähtuvalt rahvusvahelisi ja kohalikke kaubavedusid, kujundades veoahela ja kasutades erinevaid veoviise;
- juhib veoprotsessi, arvestades transpordisüsteemi kitsendusi (kauba olemus, infrastruktuuri nõuded, veovahendite tehniline seisund jne);
- oskab kujundada transpordisüsteemi, hinnata transpordisüsteemi terviklikkust, sh tuvastada selle kitsaskohti/ probleeme ning lahendada neid.

The student:
- understands the nature and functions of transport logistics and links them to the functioning of the supply chain;
- is able to assess the demand-supply ratio in the transport market;
- selects the optimal total transport solution under the given conditions;
- manages international and local freight transport according to transport needs, shaping the transport chain and using different modes of transport;
- manages the transport process, taking into account the constraints of the transport system (nature of the goods, infrastructure requirements, technical condition of the means of transport, etc.);
- is able to design the transport system, assess the integrity of the transport system, including identifying its bottlenecks / problems and solving them.
